再说说学校里的老师。听课、被听课是中学老师必备的一个工作环节,而大学老师,尤其是我所在的那所大学,虽然有听课要求,执行起来又是另外一码事。经过询问,教务老师给我推荐一位人气指数比较高的老师,很受学生欢迎。但是,每次他都不喜欢我去听课,喜欢在办公室给我口授。有时我也硬赖着去听课。我发现,我的这位师傅上课并没有将多少知识、让学生做多少练习,倒是由于年长,人生经验丰富,常常给学生讲一些做人做事的道理(用汉语)。而每当让学生造句时,给出的句子都是学生间相互调侃的句子。我想,这和受众也有关系。我听过他的非英语专业本科班的课,也听过他英语专业专科和本科班的课,也问过学生的感受。学生觉得老师的话在生活中还真是挺受用。而知识点少而浅,搞笑点多,非英语专业本科班的学生还是较能接受。p.s.这所大学是三本大学。
回想我们上大学的时候,记得有一位教翻译的教授很有名,我一个同学报考某校研究生面试时,面试老师问她:你是PE教授的学生,PE教授都给你教什么了?惭愧的是,我几乎没有听过PE教授的课,我不知道为什么听不进去,使劲听使劲听,就是听不进去。同学说PE教授口语很好,可是我现在对PE教授的口语竟然一点印象没有。大一大二的学生都喜欢外教的课,老外上课新鲜嘛,特别是大一学生。大四学生对外教的新鲜度已经没有了,我们有一门课《高级英语写作》是一位外教B教的,我宿舍Z同学上的蛮好,可是三四十人的一个班,常常只有五六个学生来听课。开始还比较多,慢慢都跑了不来了。人气指数最高的是《英美概况》,两点半上课,一点四十就有人来抢座位,而且是帮一个班的同学把座位都占了。首先,英美概况的内容大家都比较感兴趣涉及地理、文学、政治、文化、人文等各个方面。第二,上课是在多媒体教室,图片、视频资料比较多。第三,老师的发音很有磁性,很多同学喜欢听。
去年暑假,在教学研讨的时候,学校一位领导提到李阳疯狂英语。实际上我和我的许多同学都不喜欢。我觉得一位同传讲的很好,她网名叫安妮,这里我引述一下:
2000年,我还在北外读大四的时候,恰巧成为了李阳疯狂英语北京集训营的大课老师,2001年春节寒假集训也是我担任的大课老师。当时李阳来上前几天的集中课程,后面几天就由我和我的同事们一起给学员们上课。
因此,我想,我对李阳和疯狂英语多少还是有一点点地理解。我个人认为,李阳疯狂英语更多地是成功学或者励志学,而不太适合被称为是一门语言教学课程。
李阳疯狂英语也有其很大的局限性。
首先,疯狂英语鼓吹的是快餐式、捷径式的学习方法。比如十大句子等等,给人一个印象,就是只要学会了这些句子,就可以和外国人聊天。当然,我觉得,这种方法有利于提高大家说英语的信心。但是,就我自己的教学经历来看,这并不能真正提高学员的英语水平。毕竟,英语浩如烟海,不是快速地背几十个句子就能学好的。而疯狂英语缺乏的,正是系统性、有进深的一步步地学习。不瞒大家,2000年的时候,北京疯狂英语学校开办时候,除了李阳疯狂英语那一本小册子之外,没有任何其他教材。我们几个老师不得不凑在一起,拼凑了一本补充教材,这才使得我们的教学内容有更好的深度和广度。
其次,李阳疯狂英语容易给人一个错觉,就是只要刻苦努力,强迫自己背上一些名篇名言,就能够学好英语。背名句固然重要,但是我个人认为这种逼迫自己的做法并不可取。李阳只要

只要找对办法学习,一切都不是问题了,谁刚开始学习英语不是零基础学?零基础学英语也并没有我们想象中的那么难,就看自己有没有耐心,能不能坚持学而已。

2、相较于汉语言,对比学习英语口语及英语书面语
学英语的时候,很多童鞋不自觉就套用汉语的表达思维了。我建议买一两本英文小说,看书的同时,思考一下老外是如何进行书面表达的,跟汉语的表达有什么不同。不要太在意书面整洁,边看书可以拿笔写下你的想法等等。另外,选择一两部美剧,如《modern family》,琢磨一下老外又是如何遣词造句进行口语表达的,跟汉语的表达习惯有什么不同。顺便也模仿练下英语口语。带着这样的思考,通过对比学习,了解老外的语言表达习惯。
英语口语方面学习的办法有很多,可以通过软件学习,也可以找个英语比你好的人一起练习,我自己是个上班族,所以我会平时利用下班时间或者是空闲时间来学习英语口语,主要的还是利用一些英语口语软件来学习,下面我来给你推荐几款我觉得不错的英语口语练习软件:
可可英语
这款APP的课程范围包括少儿英语,高考,大学四级,以及出国的托福GRE,学习材料包括听力,阅读、听写在内几乎所有英语相关的材料,是最全面的综合性英语学习APP,这也是我把它放在第一位的原因,极力推荐。
百词斩
先前我也曾用过其他单词APP,个人而言,推荐百词斩 有人喜欢扇贝单词,适合自己就好,我喜欢这个APP的三点:可以制定学习计划。如果你想背大学四级词汇,那么,你可以设定每天背15,还是20个单词或其它数据。形式丰富。这是我大爱百词斩的一个重要原因。一个新单词,会有多种形式出现,除了配音外,还会有配图、例句、构词法分解、英语释义、视频解析,甚至这个单词出现过的英文歌曲。
有道词典
它相比普通词典类APP,除了翻译功能外,还提供原声音频视频例句、口语练习平方功能、内容丰富的网络功能等。有道还提供快速查词的功能。在阅读的时候,遇到不懂的单词,只要按住单词,有道就能快速提取,翻译出来,还可以自动添加到生词本,都不用去额外打开APP进行查询,这个着实方便好用。
