7. 如何在英语写作课上激励学生
一、充分利用课文,提高写作能力。古话说:“模拟者,古人用功之法也。”对于初学者,可以模拟课文进行写作,所以,在平时的教学中,我们可以要求学生多看,多背好文章,培养语感,实践证明,背诵课文可以使学生掌握更多的短语知识,学生在写作中经常使用固定短语可使文笔流畅,写作速度加快,同时背诵课文对提高学生的写作能力大有裨益,所以我们可以充分利用所学课文,培养学生的写作能力,具体做法有:1、仿写课文,让学生模仿课文写是一种实用的方法。仿写是学生初始阶段最基本的写作训练,可以根据不同体裁的短文,如通知、书信、情况介绍等进行仿写,让他们在理解课文的基础上仿写其句子、格式、内容写作,通过仿写课文,一方面能帮助学生学习和掌握不同体裁的写作特色和技巧,另一方面课文中的词汇、句型也自然地得到了巩固和强化,由领会到活用,从而提高学生在语篇情景中运用基础知识的综合运用能力;2、缩写课文,缩写是在细读课文的基础上,用自己的话准确而全面地写出原文的大意,缩写课文能激励学生认真钻研课文,有助于学生加深对课文的理解,提高学生归纳总结和进行简要表达的能力,在缩写课文时教师应该指导学生学会找出课文中的关键词,让学生根据关键词进行缩写,使学生顺利完成写的任务。3、改写课文,改写就是在不改变原文内容的前提下,对课文形式按要求作改变,形成一篇新的文章。改写课文可以培养学生举一反三的语言表达能力,熟练掌握英语表达法,促使学生去钻研、思考,调动学生的学习积极性。
二、掌握五种基本句型。英语语法和句型是骨架,单词和短语是血肉,是基础。教师在引导学生学习单词、短语和句型中,学写简单句,让学生潜移默化地熟练掌握五种基本句型:1、S+V(主语+不及物动词)2、S+V+O(主语+及物动词+宾语)3、S+V+P(主语+系动词+表语)4、S+V+IO+DO(主语+及物动词+间接宾语+直接宾语)5、S+V+O+C(主语+及物动词+宾语+宾语补足语),在平时的教学中,注重对学生简单句的训练,进行单句汉译英的训练,让学生熟练掌握五种基本的简单句。实际上,英语写作很大程度上就是汉译英的训练,因此,只有具备了一般句子的汉译英能力,再结合题目所给的汉语提示和英语信息,用恰当的有用的英语句型进行整合,才能写出意思连贯的通顺的英语文章。
三、对学生进行听说训练,培养听说能力,激发书面表达兴趣,英语教学中的听说读写四种技能是相互联系、相辅相成的,因此对这些技能的练习也不能孤立地进行。听是接受,说是表达。听和说的关系密切,二者相辅相承。听是说的基础和前提,说又对听起着消化和促进作用,在实际教学中,我采用了以下方法:1、坚持课前5分钟自由交际,每天课前让学生与老师,或学生与学生用英语进行自由交际,主要形式有师生问答、值日生报告、讲英语故事,内容可以是刚学过的书本知识,也可以是真人真事,句子可长可短,课下每个学生都要整理记录自己自由交际的内容,这样的形式既练听又练说,同时也能激发学生的写作兴趣,提高英语表达能力。2、造句练习。从初一开始,每天叫学生进行造句训练。例如:at
home――I am at home this evening. On Sunday――He does his homework on
Sunday.
3、对话练习,每学一个类型的对话,都叫学生进行自编自演的对话练习。例如:问路对话、看病对话、谈论假期等。4、复述课文练习。每学完一篇课文,要求学生根据关键词进行复述课文练习。5.坚持听写,促进写作,写作是一种能力,是一种运用学过的英语知识和掌握技能进行思想交流的能力。所以,坚持每节课都有一定量单词的听写,并且全批全改。
四、多背多记,达到事半功倍的目的。俗话说得好:“熟读唐诗三百首,不会作诗也会吟”。所以,背诵在学生的写作能力培养的过程中,具有着不可低估的作用。在日常的英语学习中,教师可以鼓励学生多背一些好文章、好句子、短语、谚语、俗语,这样,在学生写作文时就可以游刃有余了,久而久之,学生就可以比较轻松地写出好的文章了。
五、及时批改,进行反馈。学习再认真的学生也难免出现错误,一旦他们的文章中有错误时,老师一定以尊重学生的自尊心为前提,采用合适、有效的方法帮助他们改正。学生交上来的作文,老师要认真进行批改,除了要圈出学生的单词错误和句子语法运用上的错误,还应该给学生一些恰如其分的评价语,或表扬或鼓励或点拨或建议,让学生从心里感受到老师对他的劳动成果的尊重与重视,激发他更多的潜能,增强他写作的信心。有时,针对一些相对薄弱的学生,我们还可以采取面批的形式,及时地纠正学生在写作中出现的错误,在纠错时,语气要平和、缓慢,不要造成学生的心理压力,使学生保持坚持写英语作文的勇气和信心。另外,在批改作文时,老师还应该及时记录并归纳学生作文中反映出的典型问题,为讲评课做好准备,在讲评作文时,教师要以表扬为主,挑出一些错误较少的,优秀的作文,在全班进行阅读,让学生取长补短,不断提高自己的写作水平。
总而言之,英语写作是一个长期积累的过程,要想提高写作能力,学生平时要加强阅读,积累一定量的词汇、句型、段落和短文,只有多读、多背,才能出口成章,下笔成文。同时,还要了解英文写作的基础知识,掌握常用文体的写作方法,不断提高学生的英语写作能力。另外,老师还要细心观察、耐心引导、适当鼓励学生,千方百计让学生保持浓厚的学习英语的兴趣,使他们体会到学习英语的乐趣,渐渐培养运用英语写作的能力。
