在英语教学中,教师觉得写作教学难。对阅读理解较重视,忽视了写作的重要性。所以,写作让教师和学生比较纠结,也成为教师头疼而学生又非常犯愁的事情。而写作恰好能唤起学生对所学或所掌握的语言的感觉。多年的英语教学使我发现多数学生的作文缺乏引人入胜的词汇和句子、信息不全、语法不通、搭配不当、没有关联词、句型有错误、条理混乱等,这也是历年中考学生失分最多的原因。下面是我对一届学生三年英语写作呕心沥血的培养,形成了自己在指导学生英语写作方法和技巧方面特殊的教学模式。

一、写作与培养学生听、说、读的兴趣是密切联系的,它既是语言训练,又是思维训练

七年级是对学生英语学习兴趣的培养阶段也是写作准备阶段。学生接受能力强,想象力丰富,对知识充满好奇心,对学习怀有极大的兴趣。这一阶段需要教师激发他们的学习热情。然而,学生的语言知识薄弱,思维的条理性以及语言表达的逻辑性不强。因此,写作过程需要教师激发他们的学习兴趣。在课堂教学中,我从听、说、读、训练入手:

1.遣词造句

例如,七年级英语教材(外研上)起始模块,形容词性物主代词:第一人称单数my,我先给出一个示范:my
book,随即让学生展开想象大量列举。如,my desk,my English
teacher…用这种方法,我们学习完形容词性物主代词。学生很快整理出不同人称单复数的形容词性物主代词,总结出了“形容词性物主代词在使用时需和一个名词连用”的用法。学生有了成功的体验,更加积极地参与下面的活动。用同样的方法操练句型:It’s
time to + V动词原形…,我先给出示范:It’s time to go to school. 随即学生列举出:It’s time to go home.

breakfast…一直拓展到同学全部练习完。学生的模仿能力很强,在整个学习过程中,学生能运用短语、句型清晰地进行意思的表达。这一点我非常肯定,小学英语为中学英语课堂教学奠定了基础。因此,在课堂教学中,重视词句部分的教学,是写作训练非常重要的一步。

2.激发兴趣

根据以上两个知识点的练习,我开始介绍班里的新同学。要求被介绍的同学要自己设计情境,发挥自己的想象力,要把我们今天学到的两个知识点编进对话中。我说:Mike,This
is Tom.Tom,This is my
friend,Mike.下面的情境由这两位同学自己创设。

Mike:Hello,Tom.Nice to meet
you.

3.知识积累

英语是结构语言,它有自身的固定搭配、习惯用语和基础句型。为了让学生的写作得心应手,教师要指导并激励学生背单词、背课本、背范文,并加强听写和检查力度。课文和范文中的句子比较规范,它可以让学生写作比较规范,是学生开始仿写的依据。

二、写作与指导学生听、说、读是密切联系的,它由再思考,再加工再到进行有序的语言存储,使写作内容更加完善

八年级是对学生写作指导阶段也是写作充实阶段。学生的语言知识已比较系统,理解力增强,文字表达能力逐渐提高。教师应该引领学生广泛阅读,拓宽英语知识面和词汇量。但是他们欠缺写作技巧,文章内容较空洞,语言错误多,常习惯用中文思维,自我纠错能力差。这时教师的耐心指导和激励会起决定性的作用。在课堂教学中:

英语写作是学生英语学习综合能力的体现。高考中,英语作文总分是25分,有的学生能得23分左右,而有的学生得分仅为8、9分甚至4、5分,这个差距不能不说是巨大的。就目前的教学实践和测试结果来看,很多学生的写作水平普遍较低,未能达到教学要求。因此,作为教学薄弱环节的写作教学愈来愈受到重视。本文依据我的教学心得及尝试,就如何加强和改进英语写作教学,提高学生书面表达能力略作探讨。
一、英语作文的教学训练
1.重视词汇教学,常抓听写,加强组词、造句训练和翻译。
“巧媳妇难为无米之炊”,好的构思,地道的英语表达离不开词汇。词、句对作文相当于造房子的材料,没有材料肯定造不出房子。如果词汇量不足或掌握得不好,肯定会给写作带来困难。教师应当要求学生在平时的学习过程中运用恰当的单词,并摘录常用句型、精彩句段。这对于那些经常遇到写作就无话可说的学生来说,不失为一种良好的学习方法。
每天听写单词和相关词组,虽然没什么新意,但该方法简单有效,易操作,很有效果。对于听写不出来的,重复听写。过一段时间再循环过来,学生的词汇量自然会增加。
汉译英练习能够帮助学生熟悉和运用教材每单元的重点短语,但机械、呆板的翻译练习往往使学生厌烦。教师在布置翻译练习时,不妨创造性地利用教材,以学生的兴趣、爱好或熟知的事物为出发点来设计练习。例,在讲授必修(一)第5单元时,我设计了以下一组翻译练习题:1) 这首歌曲使她成了名(take off)。
2) 现在许多年轻人喜欢仿效流行歌星的样子(take off)。3)他把成功归于同桌的帮助(owe sth. to sb.)
4)同学们对英语老师评价很高(think highly of)。这组题贴近学生的生活,符合学生的认知规律和心理特点。同学们把做习题的过程看作是师生交流、生生对话,因而具有较高的参与热情。
2.句式多样化。
学会套用一些较好的句式,防止句式单一,可以进行多样化的训练。如对倒装句和从句的使用:Traveling is to me what sea is to fish. I would like to go somewhere I have never been to. I really enjoy the feeling about knowing an unacquainted place.句中“Traveling is to me what sea is to fish.”的使用就很灵活、生动。再如下面的例子:There is a stream in front of the house,and there is a wooden bridge over the stream ,under the bridge there is a boat ,and in the boat there is a kid about ten years old.我们可将句子改为:In front of the house runs a stream,on which there is a wooden bridge, under the bridge lies a boat in which sits a small boy about ten years old. 此倒状句比“there be”句型更紧凑,语言丰富,有一气呵成之感,令人印象深刻。
3.克服英语写作中的母语干扰。
在写英语作文时,不少学生往往会用汉语思维来构思文章,然后再按照汉语的意思逐词逐句译成汉语。这样做常常妨碍了英语写作。我们可引导学生用简单的英语表达来克服母语的干扰,可向学生讲解如何将句子转化为地道的英语表达,如:“世界上没有后悔药”,不可以翻译成:The world has no regretting medicine.而可以说成:It is no use regretting it.我们也可以给学生提供一个与此相关的谚语。如:It’s no use crying over spilt milk.
4.写作时要有草稿,确定好文章用第几人称写、基本时态是什么。
不动手写,光靠想象也就是在大脑里构思还是很难发现一些具体的小的错误。而直接写在答题卷上则容易出错,影响得分,这就需要打草稿。草稿不可太详细,那样太花费时间。写草稿有助于提高学生使用语言的准确性。语言的准确性直接或间接地影响到信息的准确传输。只要动手写一个句子,就应注意正确使用语法和词汇。大到句子结构,小到冠词用法和名词的数,还要注意到选词、拼法、大写、标点等问题。
5.将阅读教学与写作教学相结合
写作和阅读一样,都是一种书面交际的行为,它们的关系是相辅相成的,大量地阅读有助于写作能力的提高,而写作能力的提高反过来又可以促进阅读。在我的教学实践中,我每次引导学生阅读分析完一篇文章之后,都会让学生找出自己喜欢的优美语句摘录下来,甚至进行背诵。除此之外,有时还要求学生对大部分文章进行总结评价,并写出自己的感受。
在阅读教学中,以课文为基础,引导学生复述和改写课文,这对写作的帮助也很大。步骤如下:(1)找出课文各段的主题句、关键词。(2)把复杂的主题进行分解,并用常用词来代替关键的不大常用的词语。(3)把主题用适当的连接词连起来,形成课文概要。学生复述课文不是一件容易的事,既要把握课文的重点、逻辑关系,又要用自己的语言把主要内容表达出来。这样既锻炼了他们组织文章结构、句子与句子之间逻辑关系的能力,又提高了语言的精炼度,使写作能力有了很好的提高。最后,要知道写什么及如何写。首先得对要写的东西有充分的认识。教师在课堂上训练的时候可以先让学生对要写的东西进行分组讨论,有了充分认识后,再说明本课写作的基本要求与技巧及好作文的标准。学生知道了好作文的标准后再去写,自然会尽量向好作文靠拢。
