用有趣新颖的方式导入新课。兴趣是入门的向导和敲门砖，能激发学生对新课的好奇心，进而学生们就会自然而然有一探究竟的渴望。作为一名年轻的老师，我一般运用多种方式导入新课，比如工整的板书，精心制作的教学卡片，丰富多彩的图片，切题的英文音乐，贴近他们生活的话题，甚至是一个小游戏……只要能在一定程度上引起学生强烈的好奇心，整节课就可以说是为成功赢得了先机。记得八年级上学期有一个单元是“Myfuture”,在上课前，我就通过freetalk和孩子们做了一下讨论，询问他们的梦想以及未来理想的职业。孩子们各抒己见，十分活跃。有了良好的导入，这一课，他们自然很用心的倾听了
在授课方式上，采取小组讨论方法，竞赛和奖惩挂钩。初中的学生正处于叛逆期，爱玩的心性正盛，对于学习，他们的自控能力有限，不能把心思都放心学习上，但是自尊心逐渐显现，表现欲增强。针对初中孩子们的心理特点，经过几次的听课经验和与其他老师的交流，在英语课堂上，我们学校积极贯彻杜郎口导学案模式，将小组讨论搬进家教课堂，而我则根据孩子们整体小组的表现，分别给予加分或减分，一般用“正”来表示。不管进行怎样的课堂活动，小组竞赛法始终贯彻其中。期间，如果某组的同学做小动作，或者跟别的同学说话，我会适当的在改组的分数上减一分，当然如果某组的同学表现特别突出，我也会根据情况进行适当的加分，这一切加分减分活动都是有一定的根据的，不能随心所欲，否则会引起孩子们的公愤。每次课堂的结尾，我会对各组的得分进行一下统计，得分最高的那个组会获得一定的奖励，如果当天的英语作业是写三遍单词的话，那他们的那个组的同学就会写两遍;而得分最低的那个组将会派出两个同学做我一天的科代表，给我抱作业，发作业，往黑板上写一些练习题….实践表明，这样的小竞赛，会在一定程度上吸引学生们的注意力，培养他们的合作意识，增强他们的集体荣誉感。记得在一节新授课上，张松和他们组的李书磊上课说悄悄话，我没有火冒三丈的批评他们，只是说了句：“各位同学注意了，要是上课不认真听讲的话，可是要给自己的小组扣分啦，都要becareful!”我的话刚落音，他们两个立刻端端正正的做好了，一直到课的结尾，他们都没再乱说一句。其实，用分数作为评价孩子们表现的标准，归根到底还是为了好好鞭策他们把心思放到学习上去，实践表明这样的方式还是很有成效的。
运用恰当精确的提问方式。一般的英语提问方式无非是：Canyouanswerthisquestion?或者是：Doyouknowtheanswer?在新课堂上，这样的提问方式不但不会激起学生的兴趣，可能会起到适得其反的作用。所以，在提问方式上，对于我们这些新老师提出了更严格的标准。其实就我看来，良好的提问方式，不是很难解决的事，只要提问充满了人性化，考虑到孩子们的实际情况和接受能力，不再那么死板，一切都是水到渠成的事。比如，我如果想让孩子们回答问题，我一般是这样提问的：Aboutthisquestion,what’syouropinion?或者如果孩子们的回答不太准确，我就会再提示一下：Youranswerisgood,?”我想如果这样提问的话，可以更加鼓励孩子们回答问题，而这样的提问效果我认为是以前提问方式所不可企及的。

学好英语，一套科学的学习方法是必不可少的。由于个人实际情况不同，生搬硬套是行不通的。学习英语最好的方式是师生之间不断的交流和讨论，学生学习的内容不外乎认单词懂意思，在黑板前不断地讲，学生只是听，这样是无法达到良好效果的，重要的是交流，学生在交流的过程中学习，并可以在日后应用它，在英孚学生的听说之所以提高很快，是因为他们每天在与外教交流，交流的过程在不断的学习，同时每天学习5个新单词，不要单单明白意思，而是要知道如何使用和在何种语态中使用，有时间的话可以多看看英文书籍和电影，这样学习英语可以变成简单和快乐的事。
另外还要不断练习用英语思维和组织语言，忘掉汉语，用英语思维可以提高你的语速并可以避免“中国式英语”，对于听到的英语也不要译成汉语再思考和理解，高密度长期练习，英语听说能力会在4-6个月的时间内有所提高。
