本篇是96年湖南省第二届非英语专业大学生英语演讲比赛团体二等奖获奖者之一的演讲辞。其中引用正、反两方面的事例来论述“真正的美不在外表，而在内心”这一观点的方法值得学习与借鉴。
It is human nature that all of us should be fond of beauty. Everybody was born with a heart for beauty.
Today in China,with the rising of our living standard, people's requirement of beauty has been heIghtened accordingly. Some people spare no money or energy on beautiful clothes, fashionable hair styles,the decoration of their houses and even the improvement of their looks. But it seems to me,all
these are more or less confined to the beauty in appearance,or rather,the outward beauty.
In my opinion,we shouldn't only pay attention to beautiful appearance and neglect the beautification of the mind and what we are after should be the perfect unity of the outward beauty and the inner beauty. As we all know,so far as objects and animals are concerned,there is only beautiful appearance to be mentioned, but to us humanbeings, although the outward beauty really matters, the inner beauty is much more important. This was confirmed by a famous Russian writer in words much like this: "A person is
not lovely for being beautiful but beautiful for being lovely. "
Here, I'd like to quote two typical instances and I'm sure, my dear friends,from them you'll find out what real beauty is.
Recently I learned from the radio an unpleasant incident about a well known singer. She is very charming with a sweet beautiful voice and very famous for singing the song."Devotion of Love". Not long ago,she was invited to Zhejiang Province to give performance. The moment she was to appear on the stage,she suddenly asked for more reward. Worse still,after her request was satisfied, she didn't begin to sing at once. Instead,she took her time to count all the money piece by piece. Thus she kept the audience waiting for half an hour. So when she at last showed up and started to sing "Devotion of Love",a man rose up from his seat and shouted at her,"You don't have any devotion of love. You are not qualified to sing this song ! "Hearing this, the singer stopped singing and began to shout abuses with her finger pointed at the man. At this time the whole audience burst into an uproar.
How disappointed her keen listeners were when they learned this! It is the singer herself who spoiled her beautiful image in the eyes of others.
Now, I'm coming to another true story. It's about a poor, ordinary looking old woman. She was a widow without any children, living barely from hand to mouth by picking odds and ends from rubbish heaps. However,she took in more than ten homeless orphans successively and managed to bring them up. Every day she labored from morning till night. In order to earn as much money as possible to raise the children and to keep them in school,she even went to a hospital regularly to sell her blood. She got so weak for the loss of blood that she sometimes fell in a faint on her way home.

一、前言
在21世纪的今天，英语在国际交流与对外活动中发挥着越来越大的的作用，作为新时代的大学生,学好英语,流畅口语是顺应社会发展所必备的素质。为了提高在校大学生的口语水平,丰富同学们的业余生活,同时增强校园英语学习的良好氛围,我校决定在四月中旬举办名为“山东师范大学第一届风采英语演讲比赛”的比赛。
二、活动细则
1、活动名称：山东师范大学风采英语演讲比赛（按赞助企业进行冠名，如“科普杯”山东师范大学风采英语演讲比赛）
2、活动时间：四月（具体时间按“比赛具体流程”）
3、活动对象：山东师范大学长清校区各院系学生
4、活动原则：公平、公正、活泼、交流、自信
5、活动形式：初赛、复赛、决赛
6、主办单位：山东师范大学校团委
7、承办单位：山东师范大学学生会、山东师范大学英语俱乐部（其他单位待定）
8、决赛邀请嘉宾：
9、活动宣传：海报宣传、负责人通知、网上发帖公告
10、报名方式：学生报名时可以到自己所在的宿舍楼一楼物业、楼管处领取报名表，填写后交由物业楼管处保存。

规则：选手分为两组，在两间教室同时进行海选。演讲为命题演讲，限时2分钟，分数排在前100名者进入下一轮比赛。

〈二〉复赛
时间：4月20号、21号、22号，晚7：00—9：00
地点：综合教学楼C区260人教室一间

规则：选手分为三组进行比赛。演讲为命题演讲，限时3分钟，分数排在前20名者进入决赛。
评委：2名专业英语老师、2名研究生

〈三〉决赛
时间：4月26号下午2：00—5：30
地点：综合教学楼C区1 报告厅
演讲主题：
决赛由两部分组成：
1、先进行定题演讲（限时3分钟），演讲结束后，评委提问一个问题，选手回答限时1分钟。定题演讲是参赛选手围绕赛前给定的主题，写好演讲稿进行演讲；评委用英语提问，可以是与选手演讲主题有关的问题、选手在演讲过程中涉及的问题，也可以是评委感兴趣的问题，选手一律用英语进行回答。
2、即兴演讲（选手准备30秒。回答限时2分钟）由选手现场抽题，根据所抽的题目，做一定时间的准备，然后演讲。
评分标准：
参赛选手的分数由两部分组成
1、定题演讲部分（该部分占总分的70％）
2、即兴演讲部分（该部分占总分的30％）
评分细则为：
1、发音 15分
2、内容 30分
3、仪态仪表 10分
4、语言应用 20分
5、总体印象 10分
6、应变能力（回答问题与即兴演讲） 15分
规则：选手分为两组进行比赛，分数排在前10位的选手即可获一、二、三等奖，后十名可获优秀奖，一等奖1名，二等奖3名，三等奖6名，优秀奖10名
评委：3名外教，2名专业英语老师，2名研究生、1—3名嘉宾（由赞助商单位和校方领导出任）
决赛具体流程：
下午 1：30 工作人员入场准备活动前期工作
1：40观众入场
2：00嘉宾入场
2：05由活动主持人介绍出席嘉宾，并介绍此次活动的主要目的等事项
2：10 由校团委总书记开幕词，并宣布活动开始
2：15 活动正式开始
2：15—3：30 第一组选手进行比赛（75分钟）
3：30—3：45 由十大校园英语歌手演唱
3：45—5：00 第二组选手进行比赛（75分钟）
5：00—5：30 演讲结束，比赛进入评奖阶段，节目说唱英语，并抽取20名幸运观众。
5：30 主持人公布获奖名单，嘉宾进行颁奖，比赛结束，由赞助商嘉宾做总结陈词。
注意事项：进入决赛的每位选手欲4月25号中午12点之前必须将自己撰写的演讲稿打印一份交到4#507室
五、活动具体要求
1、工作人员着装统一，佩带绶带和学生证
2、工作人员提前30分钟入场
3、活动过程中要求参赛人员要维护现场秩序，保持全场安静，并要求把手机调到震动或者关机状态。
4、活动结束后全体工作人员留下负责现场的清洁

很高兴有机会在这讲台上和大家说一下我考研的经历，
考研演讲稿
。去年的这个时候，我也在台下的某个位子，听师兄在台上一顿吹牛，并没有想到今年我也站讲台上。接下来，我讲一下我的考研经历：
当你决定考研之后
第一步：选择报考学校，报考学校的选择决定着你考研专业的复习、被录取的机率、未来学习的方向、未来的生活圈甚至是工作地的选定。如何使我们的决定更理性一点，我们可以先上网查一下，圈定几个初步认可的学校，有几个标准可做一下参考，或者去培训机构了解一下相关院校的信息，我去年是在行家教育咨询的。后来选择了福州大学。第一学校所在地区这关系到你以后学习、生活，甚至是工作和未来的发展，第二是学校的综合排名情况，牵涉到你们以后研究生出来，社会对你的认可度。第三对自己的定位(是想挑战高难度呢还是多考虑从自己的实际能力出发)
第二步：你得去看一下你初步圈定的几所大学的研究生院网站，在这里你主要关注以下几个信息，一是往年的分数线和考录取情况，报这个大学你大概的竞争压力有多大，你需要对自己各科设定一个怎样的分数线，二是你需要看看这所研究生院它到底研究什么，就是看往年的招生简章上它的研究方向，有没有自己感兴趣的，另外它考研历年的专业书目看一下，不同学校要求的书目、数量是不同的，偷懒的同学往往会选择专业书较少的学校。这一点我要感谢一下我的辅导老师叶老师，在我迷茫的时候给我专业的指导。
第三步：当你浏览完研究生院网站，通过比较你大概心里可以确定你想考哪个大学了。最终你确定你要报考的学校后，那么复习就开始了，我呢，是在暑假的时候开始备考，感觉吧，第一考研的战线不要拉的太长，人很累，中途放弃的可能性也大。第二在考研准备期间整个作息要安排的有规律点，能制定个复习计划是很不错的，心里清楚今天要干什么，明天要完成什么。第三要清楚考研是你生活的重点，它不是你生活的全部，学习踏实很重要，但不用你天天睁开眼就想着往自习室跑，精神压力很大也容易紧张，可以干干自己日常喜欢做的事，与寝室的同学交流，而那些外出租房子的同学交流的机会就很少了，多关注一下他人考研进度和生活，还有尽量不要逃专业课，因为复试时有综合专业课面试，
第四：学习也要讲方法的，不要去死背。专业复习记忆的东西比较多，那么首先呢，还是要理解，其次就是自己的总结，如果经济允许可以去报个培训班，专业的老师给你指导一下，会让你学习更加轻松，去年行家教育给我带来的不仅仅是学习，还有各方面的收益。比如说你现在要记一个东西，可能它有7、8个知识要点，那么防止你不漏记，你就抓主要关键词，那样可以加强记忆。
拿单科来讲的话，
政治：在考研过程中相对较为简单，在临考前2个月，我报了考研政治冲刺班，在冲刺班上，老师把考研政治的知识点整个缕一遍，做过几套模拟题，自己感觉很有用，清楚了考研的重点，对知识点的理解更为深刻。还有到最后考研政治就是背，有20天20题的小册子，挑热点背就行。
再说英语把：它是考研的一个重要部分，虽然只有100分，但许多考研成绩总分非常牛的同学，因为英语单科没过全国线或报考学校的英语分数线被刷下来了。英语的复习真题很重要，应该把大概近十五年的真题做2遍。阅读占很大的比重，重复做到三遍，写下自己的心得体会并反复朗读理解原文和选项，某种程度会形成一种感觉，就是当你考试不会做时你选对的机率会变得比较高。另外还有一个大块就是英文写作，买一本较为权威的针对考研英语的写作书籍，读背默，形成一个流程作业，它会提高你整个的写作能力。在整个英语的复习中要耐得住性子，日积月累，另外在网上多找找考研英语辅导班的视频，听老师讲解也是非常重要的。
再然后就是专业课和数学的复习，数学和专业课的成绩是甩开你其他人最重要的一步。这两门就有300分。先谈一下专业课，首先你要明确专业课考的很基础，绝对是整本书的核心要点，基本没有什么故意为难的情况。第二将历年的考题收集到手，心里有底，难易程度如何，出题方式怎样，你之前知道考题的类型，你会变得比较小心，复习的时候会较为全面。
再谈一下数学的复习：第一轮复习，先把我们高数书上各章的知识点滤一遍，主要把例题做会。第二轮复习，把复习全书从头到尾做一遍，主要做例题。第三轮复习时，把历年真题做一遍，最后留出11年的试卷做一下模拟测试。
考研最后1月中旬初试，初试完了不要想着考研，回家过年有空翻翻复试的专业书籍，虽然要到2月底知道考试成绩、3月下旬或4月初出复试名单，但时间不能浪费，要知道当你确认进入复试后差不多只有十几天的准备时间，到时开始复习明显就晚了，当你2月底知道自己的分数时就应该尽快的弄清楚自己有没有可能进入复试，没可能的话，就要看自己的分数有没有可能调剂，调剂的话，就要关注各大高校的调剂信息，积极准备复试。
最后总结一下，考研历程中我想过成功，想过失败，但从没想过放弃。天道酬勤，付出才有收获。谢谢大家！

Opportunities and challenges with the coming of globalization
Globalization is a historical process, referring to the increasing integration of economies around the world, particularly through trade and financial flows and the movement of people and knowledge across international borders. With the coming of globalization, it brings us both opportunities and challenges.
Greater interconnectedness among the world’s people seems to promise a “global village” in which the destructive antagonisms of the past can be left behind, replaced by global cooperation and enriching diversity. Global markets offer grater opportunity of people to tap into more and large markets around the world. It means that they can have access to more capital flows, technology, cheaper imports, and larger export markets. As globalization has progressed, living standards, particularly when measured by broader indicators of well-being, have improved significantly in virtually all countries.
But the actual experience of globalization has not fulfilled such promise as above. Instead, it has given us more poor people than the world has ever know and increased threats to the environmental conditions on which humans life itself depends. It has led many to fear the loss of hard-won social and environmental protections and even of meaningful self-government. And the markets do not necessarily ensure that the benefits of increased efficiency are shared by all. Also the strongest gains have been made by the advanced countries and only some of the developing countries.
Globalization is both irreversible and, in its present form, unsustainable. What will come after it is far from determined. Countries must be prepared to embrace the policies needed, and in the case of the poorest counties may need the support of the international community as the do so.
