B. 怎样有效开展小学英语口语教学

一．情景式口语教学法——让学生想说
在中国的英语课堂上，有很多学生不愿开口说话，担心自己开口会说错，会遭人耻笑。这样“不语”的学生在课堂上始终处于被动位置。根据这一点，教师应给学生创造一个良好的语言环境，可渐渐消除他们的心理障碍，渐渐地让学生产生想用英语表达的愿望。
小学生的形象思维能力高于抽象思维能力，对生活中直接接触的事或物比较了解，而对只限于书上看到，学到的容易忘记。基于此英语对小学生来说是一门从“零”开始的学科，教师要绞尽脑汁把这虚无缥缈的东西在学生脑中留有深刻印象，就得靠依靠现实的生活情景了。一方面，增强学生的形象记忆；另一方面，增强学习兴趣。“兴趣是最好的老师”。如在教What are you doing？时，设置一个情景：让一个学生捧着本书，然后回答：I’m reading 。这样既实际又贴近生活，学生在不知不觉中提高口语表达的流利程度。
再者，小学生爱玩、爱动、好表现自己，因而把课文的对话创设成情景，让学生用表演的形式进行交流，学习语言是最恰当不过了。如复习“Let’s eat”（这一单元时，教师可利用实物、图片等创设情境，让学生们进入到餐厅里，再以“Old MacDonald has a farm”这首歌，营造了一个气氛，接着把帽子戴上，此时教师变成了“waitress”(女侍应),手里的书变成了侍应手上的托盘，而学生们则变成了顾客，让学生尝试向我提出各种要求：如I like hamburgers. I like hot dogs. Can I have some cakes? 也尝试着让学生提出各种建议，如：Have some juice. Have some ice creams等。还要尝试着运用上各种礼貌用语，赞美用语，如Thank you. You’re welcome. Oh, it’s nice. I like it 等。学生们兴趣浓厚，他们在模拟的情景中尝试交流并进行交际，活学活用地把所学到的知识运用到实际中去了。
二．直观式口语教学法——让学生会说
直观的教具在教学里一向手到重视。在一些学校多媒体设备不完备，资源缺乏的情况下，直观教学是极为有效的教学手段，尤其是在低年级英语教学中。低年级儿童心理学表明低年级儿童在学习外语时心理和生理上有很多优势，短时记忆力强，好奇心重，模仿力强但较为直观，缺乏抽象能力。因而通过直观教学则能弥补这一不足。利用教具可以使教学方法多样化，容易引起和保持学生的兴趣，最大限度地调动学生的学习积极性。如，在教授（Fun of English 3A） Unit3 This is my father. 是在教水果类单词时，老师可自带一些水果，或者可让学生带一些，让学生有直观感受到单词所对应的实物，同时对照实物练习口语的过程中，减少了学生内心中对英语单词的翻译过程，能直接见实物将英语单词脱口而出，学会用用语表达,从而做到快速而又自然地运用单词,而并非死记硬背式的单纯记忆。
对于高年级的英语口语教学中，可利用图片，挂图等直观教具，结合讲故事，复述等教学方法来充分练习学生的口语，从而在说的过程中巩固句型，语法等，例：Fun of English 5B）Unit4 Halloween,该单元中目标在与学生能运用句型；“What do you like?”,“Do you like…?”,“I like…”在A部分的教授中，可以利用挂图，学生听录音的基础上，用讲述的口气，将课文内容讲述给学生，并且让学生理解后根据挂图提示复述出课文内容，以讲故事的形式完成教学，还可以让学生用所学过的内容，灵活的编写。
三．游戏式口语教学法——让学生敢说
游戏的过程是激发学生兴趣，并最大限度的保持这一兴趣，使学生资源，愉快地说英语的一种教学方法。在课堂英语教学中，采用游戏是练习学生口语的一种很有效的手段。首先，所用来的游戏应符合以下三条基本标准，1）它们能激发学生的兴趣并使课堂教学多样化；2）它们能增加学生对外语的理解；3）它们将诱导学生去说这种新的语言。其次，采用的游戏应适合学生的年龄特点，对于低年级学生可采用些简单的，易操作的游戏。例如：在复习水果单词时，先把水果放在一只盒子里，让学生闭上眼睛用手去摸一摸，让学生猜一猜盒子里装的是什么，然后让学生用英语说出该水果的名称，接着要求学生找一找该单词的“好朋友”；或者出示字母卡片，让学生排队组成一个个水果单词。这些活动比单纯让学生读单词有效得多。
对于高年级学生来说，则要组织些有难度的游戏，并有适当的奖惩制度。在学生明白游戏规则后，应尽量多的给学生参与的机会。由学生自行组织并参与其中。如，Fun of English 5B Unit6 A PE lesson中对指令的学习，可由老师师范，先发号指令“Put your hands on your shoulders”,“Touch your nose with your finger once”,而后，由学生自己发号指令，其余学生做，做错的给予惩罚；或是让学生分成6～8组上前表演。一个到两个学生发号指令，其余组员按指令做动作来练习。
对于游戏的选择上可根据实际教学内容，同时可有选择的改变，结合直观教学手段，呈现实物，让学生在玩的过程中说英语，用英语来交流，达到“寓教于乐”。
英语口语的教学不仅仅限于教学，在小学教育中低年级英语的课时约每周三节，中、高年级每周英语课时为4节。因此，可以看到除了完成正常的英语教学任务外，用于学生练习口语，开口说英语是少之又少。尽管教师在课堂中尽可能多的让学生开口练习口语，但这些时间是非常少的。再者，英语作为第二语言是与周围环境的脱离，在课余时间形成良好的英语环境是非常有必要的。其最有效地便是开展英语课外活动。它形式多样，灵活多变，很能激起学生学英语的兴趣，使学生多方面发展英语才能。例如，教师可以利用活动课时间给学生欣赏一些英语卡通片，利用课前和课上的五分钟，教学生一些简单的英语歌曲，以培养学生学习英语的兴趣，感受英语氛围，形成良好的语音语调的环境。教师只有在英语教学中真正将视、听、说相结合，让学生敢于用英语表达自己的思想，才能达到英语口语的提高。
四、儿歌式口语教学——让学生乐说
儿歌是少儿口头传唱的歌谣，它在任何一种语言中都是语言的启迪，是孩子们最有效的学习工具。英语儿歌由于内容丰富生动，语言浅显，节奏明快，是活在孩子们口头上的英语文学。它很容易激发少儿的学习兴趣，保持少儿的学习动力，是非常适合孩子门学习的一种形式，也是英语口语教学的一种方法。
为了增加学生的语言素材，教师可以把一些孤立的单词用儿歌串连起来，帮助学生记忆，并运用，让学生在课余生活中不知不觉得喜欢上用用语进行口头表达。下面笔者就将自己在教学中经常使用的几类英语儿歌作简单介绍：
1．联想式儿歌：儿童自言自语，用英语儿歌表达自己感兴趣的的事物。
Birds, birds, fly, fly, fly;
Birds, birds, I like birds.
Cats, cats, catch, catch, catch;
Cats, cats, I like cats.
2．对话式儿歌：儿童之间一唱一和，以对儿歌的方式展示一段真实的生活情境。
Matter, matter, what’s the matter?
Cold, cold, I am cold.
Jacket, jacket, here’s a jacket.
Thank you, thank you.
Not at all.
Six, six, six o’clock;
Up, up, get up.
All right, all right.
Goodbye, goodbye.
Seven, seven, seven o’clock;

3．问答式儿歌：儿童一问一答，可以就有趣的问题自问自答，也可以互相问答。

Sky, sky, sky is blue.

以上四种口语教学方法只有综合使用，循序渐进，互为补充，相得益彰，才能让学生的英语表达逐步从“不想说”“不会说”“不敢说”“不愿说”的尴尬处境中走出来。
总之，英语口语教学不只是使学生系统的掌握了英语日常口语，了解了语言的文化含义，更重要的是促进了学生思辨能力的形成与发展，提高学生运用知识，思考分析问题的能力、提出见解的能力。
