a good beginning is half done.初一是中学生的启蒙阶段,初一英语是英语教学的基础.让学生迈好英语学习的第一步，对他们今后学好英语至关重要。我在这几个月的教学实践中，总结了以下几点经验：
一、培养学生学英语的兴趣，增强学生学好英语的自信心
1.强化学习英语动机，引导学生入门
学习动机是推动学生学习的内部驱动力。有动机的外语学习，学习效果好，而无动机的外语学习，学习往往成为一种负担，学习效果不佳。初学英语的学生，对英语有着强烈的好奇心，教师要抓住这一特点，加以正确引导。帮助学生认识到英语学习的必要性和重要性，提高他们对英语学习价值的认识，真正意识到英语的工具性和交际性在今后学习、工作和生活中不可缺少的地位。明确了英语学习的重要性就会产生强烈的求知欲望，而有了信心和兴趣，就会收到事半功倍的效果。
2.增强师生情感沟通，建立和谐的师生关系
亲其师，才能信其道。教师要善于表达积极情感，多给学生动口的机会，多给予热情鼓励，引导他们在学习中发现问题、解决问题。在日常生活中要多与学生进行情感交流，教师一个默许的眼神、一句鼓励的话语、一份由衷的赞许，都会使学生感觉到教师的关心、赏识和可敬。这些都促进学生积极的上进心，激发他们的求知欲，增加他们学习的勇气和信心。达到以情促知、以情促教的目的。
3.营造轻松愉快的课堂气氛，提高教学效果
孔子说：“知之者不如好之者，好之者不如乐之者。”因此在教学中，一定要根据学生的年龄特点，采用各种激趣方法，营造轻松愉快的课堂气氛，促成学生的自主参与。
（1）直观教学法。利用实物、图片、简笔画、多媒体等教学手段，让枯燥的英语单词直观形象化，吸引学生的“眼球”，抓住学生的兴趣点和注意力，调动了学生积极思维，使学生愉快地掌握了所学的知识。
（2）情景教学法。根据教材内容，创设情景，采用对话、表演等形式，让学生进行角色扮演。借助类似模拟情景，把教材与实际生活联系起来，让学生感觉到学习英语的用处，增加了学生的求知欲望，促使他们积极地参与到课堂活动中来。
（3）愉快教学法。学生初学英语时，兴趣很高，但维持不了多长时间。因此在教学过程中，力求寓教于乐，吸引学生。如在课堂上安排一些猜谜、唱歌、做游戏、搞竞赛等活动。不但活跃了课堂气氛，而且巩固了所学的知识。
4.体验成功，激起学习兴趣
成功感是英语学习中非常宝贵的情感体验，能极大地激起学生学习的兴趣和热情。教师应设法多给学生创造成功的机会,让他们更多的品尝到成功的喜悦。如学生回答对问题,好的考试成绩等等,都可视为成功。应及时给予肯定和鼓励：great / wonderful / well done /……即使学生回答错了，教师要给予及时的帮助和鼓励：try again / think it over……注意捕捉学生的点滴进步并及时给予表扬或奖励，让他们亲身体验到成功的喜悦，让学生看到希望的曙光，不断增强学习英语的信心。
二、从基础知识入门，把握好英语的入门教学
1.语音教学
语音教学是初一英语教学重要和首要的任务之一，是入门阶段教学的关键。通过音标教学，学生掌握正确发音，学会拼读单词，为以后的英语继续学习和不断发展打下坚实的基础，扫平英语学习的最大障碍。笔者在音标教学中采用先集中后分散的教学原则，即在教完26个字母之后，集中教音标，再试教拼读单词。重点放在弄清字母、音素、音标之间的内在联系，完成48个音素、音标及相应字母、字母组合的教学，结合教材生词表上的单词练习拼读，使学生通过发音、拼读、开口关，从而使他们具备拼读单词的能力，使学生的英语学习从一开始就进入积极主动的学习状态。然后是分散教学，根据教材内容的安排，进一步巩固前面所学的音标，从入门阶段的字母、单词、日常用语，到初级阶段的课文、句子、对话，教师应随着教材的变化，随时把它们分散地教给学生，采取听、模仿、讲解、练习、校正等方式使学生随时随处感受到正确、规范的语音的影响和熏陶。
2.词汇教学
词汇是语言的基本材料，是语言的三大要素之一。因此记忆单词是英语学习的重要环节，教师要根据学生的年龄教给他们便于记忆、巩固的方法。如拼读记忆法、归类记忆法、对比记忆法、为了把好单词关，更要及时地进行单词听写检测，做到单词“课课清”，让学生养成每天记单词的习惯。学生积累了一定的词汇量，就能为以后的听说读写打下坚实的基础。
三、营造良好的语言环境，培养学生英语的听说能力
在英语技能中,听说是读写的基础,具备一定的听说能力,才能促进读写能力的发展。因此从初一开始，英语教师应把握好课堂教学中听说训练的渗透与融入，设法给学生营造良好的语言环境，强化学生听说英语的意识，让他们在运用中不断提高英语水平，在潜移默化中培养学生英语思维与表达的习惯，培养学生运用英语进行交际的能力。
1.用英语组织教学
大部分学生平时所听、所说、所读、所写的全是汉语，缺少英语语言环境，通常只有在英语课上才能接触英语。因此，教师在课堂上必须尽量用英语进行教学,创造浓厚的英语课堂气氛，使学生自然而然的跟着教师的思路用英语去思维。这样可以增强学生的求知欲，提高学生听的能力，增强学生的语感.
2.free talk
通过每天free talk，给每个学生均等的机会来训练口语，在这项训练中，学生有权选择自己感兴趣的话题，并可以提前准备。课前由一名学生讲三分钟英语，内容可以是校园生活，英语学习，个人轶事，班级活动和小故事等。此项活动使学生们敢于开口讲英语，增长见识和扩大了词汇量。在这项活动的过程中，教师要起到引导、督促的作用，使学生的口语得到锻炼。
3.role play
根据课文对话或短文的内容进行角色表演，鼓励学生大胆开口说英语，进行真实、生动、有趣的模仿。把课文的语言材料转化为流畅的英语口语，达到交际和运用语言的目的。
4.朗读和背诵
教师利用早读、课堂加强学生的朗读、背诵。通过各种行之有效的方法，促使学生大声朗读，积极背诵范文，习惯用语和精彩语段。通过朗读和背诵，让学生积累一定的语言材料，形成语感，逐步培养学生使用语言的习惯，提高英语学习的信心和能力。
四、进行学法指导,培养自学能力
授人以鱼,只饱一天,授人以渔,终生受益。在英语教学中,教师要有计划、有系统地介绍英语学习的方法，培养学生的自学能力，只有学生学会学习,进而善于学习,才能发挥学生的积极性、创造性,才能提高学习效率。
1.课前预习：学习新的单元前，建议初一新生按以下步骤预习：首先，拼读新单词，大声朗读新单词，然后听录音带，大声模仿跟读，直到听熟、会读为止。
2.听课：在课堂上，学生应做到“五动”，即动手、动眼、动口、动脑、动耳，其中关键的是动口。即：抓住机会积极答问，敢于在全班同学面前大声背诵，敢于参加表演活动，不要怕犯错误。使学生逐步掌握这些方法,能自主地学习,从而提高学习效果。
总而言之，在学生学习英语的入门阶段，作为英语教师，应根据学生特点，因材施教，着重培养学生学习英语的兴趣，把知识点分散学习、教授，以学生为主体，教师适当启发，点燃学生学习的热情，发挥其自由想象和美好愿望的空间，在通过语音关、词汇关、句型关、课文关的过程中，感受学习的乐趣和运用、驾驭语言的成功感受，为今后的英语学习奠定良好的知识基础和心理适应能力。
