考试内容是现场抽题，朗读一篇短文，按照要求大声朗读纸上的音标、单词和短文或者故事，此项主要考查考生的与语音、语调、重读、连续、意群、停顿等，不会出现很生僻的词汇。

还有就是回答一些问题，英语口语考试时考官会提问几句日常生活中的问题，这一项主要考查考生在毫无准备的情况下反应的快慢、语言的准确性以及语法等等，每个考生回答的问题都不一样。

高考英语口语考试模式：高考英语口语考试目前有两种模式，即“人人对话”模式和“人机对话”模式。“人人对话”模式是一种传统考试模式，考官以面对面的形式与考生进行沟通，以判定考生英语口语表达能力。

考官根据考生的语音语调、理解能力、表达能力、反应速度四个方面对考生成绩进行考核。考官最后将这四项分数合计为总分。

口语考试过程中要注意的地方：

朗读部分：特别注意朗读的完整性和流畅性。

情景对话：一定要抓准关键点、要点要完整、回答要流畅、准确。

说话部分：内容要完整、说话要流畅准确。尽量一次性完成所有口语考试内容。

特别提醒：听到“现在开始录音”时，一定要等到下面的录音线走动1-2秒后再开始录音，一定要在录音前再一次思考自己的录音内容的准确性等，再考虑一次，再录音。(录音时间很充分，一定要准备充分后再开口录音。)。

8、所有考生考前、考中要恰正调整自己的心理，应该以正常的心态参加考试。

9、考试时一定要带准考证参加考试。

10、准时到考点报到。迟到超过报到时间10分钟就不得入场，而且取消本年度英语听力口语考试资格。
