为了让学生继续保持英语阅读的兴趣，有效进行课外阅读，教师应该为学生提供一个展示的平台。我每一个月我都会让学生制作一份英语小报。如九月分是一个缤纷的季节，学生们制作的英语报中，有的叫“九月的祝福”，写的有关教师的内容；有的叫“中秋的情丝”，是有关中秋明月的内容。学生在完成任务的过程中，小组成员分工合作，有的找材料，有的做设计，忙得不亦乐乎，很多不为人知的故事被挖掘出来。学生们在这个过程中，阅读得到了锻炼，欣赏得到了提高。又如2008年从三年级至六年级发了<<英语阅读欣赏>>一书,我就充分利用了这本书。比如三四年级的英语歌,确实好听,学生们唱起来特别带劲,而五六年级的那些故事,学生们也很乐意去读,去扮演.在“六一”儿童节文娱汇报演出中,我组织学生唱英语歌和表演英语短剧，演出效果出奇的好，当他们体验到成功的喜悦，他们的信心倍增，兴趣也更浓厚。教师们要充分抓住学生的兴趣点，创设各种平台，让学生充分展示自己的阅读成果。
我想,只要我们广大小学英语教师明确具体的英语阅读教学目标要求，持之以恒地培养小学英语阅读的兴趣和能力，采用恰当的阅读教学模式，将听说读写活动恰当的融入到阅读教学中去，小学生的英语阅读潜能一定会得到充分的挖掘和提高。
