看课外读物主要是为了培养语感和扩充单词量。读的时候不要有压力，先泛读再精读。遇到看不懂的单词别急着查，标出来，自己猜猜是什么意思，因为一个生单词可能出现过很多次，首先要对单词加深印象再去查它的意思，这样不容易忘。然后是句子，切忌不可回看，这样很影响阅读质量。一开始可能很困难但要坚持读下去，慢慢语感培养出来了会阅读越快，而且理解句子也越来越准确。并且，读书时切不可强求将英文翻译成中文再理解，而尽量理解句子本身的含义。
