2、阅读方面：学生在英语作文时，常常会不自觉的受汉语思维方式的影响。而解决这个问题的关键，就要培养学生多背诵、多阅读英语原文的习惯，形成英语思维的方式，在背诵和阅读的过程中，培养语感。在一种惯性模式下，一旦学生想表达的内容超过了他们所掌握的英语知识的范围，则往往会借助于母语系统，这样会对英语学习形成不必要的干扰。所以，在日常教学中，教师尽量让学生多阅读一些英语报刊、原版的影视作品和原著，能够深层次的接触外国文化，尽量少走弯路。培养学生跨文化交流能力，深刻掌握英语文化的内涵，能够由表及里的学习英语知识，进一步摆脱母语系统的干扰，提高准确、顺畅阅读的能力。
3、语法方面：进一步巩固和加强语法知识。英语写作和汉语作文，在概念上是等同的，在写作过程中，必须具备基本扎实的语言基本功。具体包括：语法规则的掌握、词汇的运用及单词的拼写。语法是写作的前提，语法知识掌握的不透彻，就无法写出连贯顺畅的文章。没有系统的语法知识，也不能精通和熟练掌握外语。所以在英语的学习中，语法是最基本的要素。而老师往往采用精讲的教学模式，过于单一、枯燥、繁琐的训练，不仅不能帮助学生熟记语法规则，反而滋生出抵触和厌烦的不良情绪。为了帮助学生真正掌握语法知识，最佳的方式是让他们在运用中学习，而写作，乃是学习语法知识的最佳方法。在"听""说""读""写'中，写一直是承上启下的作用。英语作文不仅能使语言知识内在化，巩固听和阅读所掌握的语言材料，还能提升语言运用的准确性。在英语作文中，不仅可以正确掌握各类词汇的含义，还能正确的使用和搭配，进一步内化所掌握的基础知识。
