它的用法是对的。her husband一直都是这整句话的主语。“who was a musician”是补充短语，可以不用，你去专掉这句话，属在看“Her husband had died，and left her very poor indeed.”在and之前有个逗号，是意在强调一个并联关系。表示在前面表示她音乐家的丈夫去世之后，“她丈夫的死”让她穷困潦倒，而不是她的丈夫让她穷困潦倒。
