(一)定义及相关术语
1.定语从句:修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。定语从句一般紧跟在它所修饰的先行词之后。
2.先行词:被定语从句修饰的词叫先行词。
3.关系词:引导定语从句的词叫关系词。
关系词有关系代词和关系副词。关系代词有that, which, who, whom, whose, as等;关系副词有when, where, why等。
关系词通常有下列三个作用:A、引导定语从句;B、代替先行词;C、在定语从句中担当一个成分。例如:
The man who is shaking hands with my father is a policeman. 该句中,who is shaking hands with my father是定语从句,修饰先行词the man, “who”是引导定语从句的关系词,代替先行词the man,在定语从句中作主语。

(二)关系代词引导的定语从句
1.who 指人,在定语从句中作主语。
The boys who are playing football are from Class One. 正在踢足球的男孩是一班的。
Those who want to go to the museum must be at the school gate at 7 tomorrow morning. 想去博物馆的人必须在明晨7点到大门口集合。
Yesterday I helped an old man who had lost his way. 昨天我帮助了一位迷路的老人。
That is the teacher who teaches us physics. 那就是教我们物理的老师。
2.whom 指人,在定语从句中做宾语,常可省略。
Mr Liu is the person ( whom ) you talked about on the bus. 刘先生就是你们在公共汽车上谈论的那个人。
Li Ming is just the boy ( whom ) I want to see. 李明正是我想要见的男孩。The professor ( whom ) you are waiting for has come. 你正在等的教授已经来了。
The girl ( whom ) the teacher often praises is our monitor. 老师经常表扬的那个女孩是我们的班长。
注意:关系代词whom在口语或非正式文体中常可用who来代替,也可省略。
The man ( whom / who )you met just now is my old friend.
3.Which指物,在定语从句中做主语或宾语,做宾语时常可省略。
Football is a game which is liked by most boys. 足球是大多数男孩所喜欢的运动。
The factory which makes computers is far away from here. 制造计算机的那家公司离这儿很远。
He likes to read books which are written by foreign writers. 他喜欢外国作家写的书。
The house which is by the lake looks nice. 湖边的那幢房子看上去很漂亮。
This is the pen ( which ) he bought yesterday. 这是他昨天买的钢笔。
The film ( which ) they went to see last night was not interesting at all. 他们昨晚看的电影一点意思也没有。
4.That指人时,相当于who或whom;指物时,相当于which.。在定语从句中作主语或宾语,作宾语时常可省略。
The number of people that / who come to visit this city each year reaches one million. 每年来参观这座城市的人数达一百万。
Where is the man that / whom I saw this morning? 我今天早上看到的那个人在哪儿?
The person that /whom you introced to me is very kind. 你介绍给我的那个人很友好。
The season that / which comes after spring is summer. 春天以后的季节是夏季。
Yesterday I received a letter that / which came from Australia. 昨天我收到了一封来自澳大利亚的信。
5.Whose 通常指人,也可指物,在定语从句中做定语。
I visited a scientist whose name is known all over the country. 我拜访了一个全国知名的科学家。
He has a friend whose father is a doctor. 他有一个爸爸当医生的朋友。
I once lived in the house whose roof has fallen in. 我曾经住在那幢屋顶已经倒塌了的房子里。
注意:指物时,常用下列结构来代替:
The classroom whose door is broken will soon be repaired.
The classroom the door of which is broken will soon be repaired.
Do you like the book whose cover is yellow?
Do you like the book the cover of which is yellow?

『肆』 英语宾语从句与同位语从句翻译成宾语的问题。

第一句中 that we ......是宾语从句,即整个从句做 proposed 的宾语,不是“宾语补版充”。
第二权句抄写有误,应为 There are dear indications that the war will soon be over.
其中的 that the war......是 indications 的同位语从句,不是宾语!建议上网络文库搜索“宾语”、“宾语从句”和同位语从句,了解这几个语法概念。
There is/are 句型是一个倒装句,be(is/are)后面的成分是句子的真正主语。因此, dear indications that the war will soon be over 这整个部分是句子的真正主语。这个句子里没有宾语。

『柒』 英语句子语法问题

一。宾语从句就是在复合句中,用句子做宾语。常用的连词有that ,if ,whether ,what ,which ,who ,whom ,when ,where,how ,why等。
充当宾语从句的句子应该是本着主谓陈述语序的原则。
Can you tell me what he said just now?句中的what he said just now就是宾语从句,连词是
what ,he said主谓陈述语序,而不用一般疑问句句式did he say(x).
直接引语变间接引语就用宾语从句。
注意;1.主句谓语是现在时,将来时,宾语从句要用所需的时态。2.主句谓语是过去时,宾语从句的时态一定是过去某种时态,但客观真理仍用现在时。
She said the earth isn't round.
二。定语从句就是用句子充当定语,用句子修饰某一名词或代词。所修饰的词叫先行词,定语从句放在先行词的后面。关系代词有that,which,who ,whom ,whose ,关系副词when ,where,why.关系代词和关系副词放在先行词和定语从句中间,既起联系作用,同时又作定语从句的一个成分。
1.that指物指人都可。2which只指物。3who指人。4.when指时间5.where指地点,在定语从句中作地点状语。His father works in a factory that /which makes TV sets.他父亲在一家电视机厂工作。
句子中factory 是先行词,that/which makes TVsets是定语从句
The girls that /who are singing in the hall are our classmates.那些在礼堂里唱歌的女孩们是我们的同学。句中girls是先行词,that /who 是关系代词,that /who are singing in the hall是定语从句。
三。when 和while 都是”当……时候”讲。
1when引导时间状语从句+一般过去式,主句用过去进行时。
2.while引导时间状语从句+过去进行时,主句用一般过去式。
The children were leaving school when they saw a truck.当学生们看见一辆卡车时,他们正在准备离开学校。
While Jim was making a cake ,the bell rang.当吉姆在做蛋糕的时候,门铃响了。
四。状语从句:用句子充当状语。
时间状语从句:引导词有when,while ,till ,untill ,since, after,before,as soon as 等。
原因状语从句:引导词有because.
比较状语从句:引导词than
条件状语从句:if
让步状语从句:though/although
目的状语从句:so that
结果状语从句:so…that,…that…,such…that…

状语从句都本着:主将从现,就是主句用将来时时态,从句用一般现在时。
If it doesn't rain,we are going to the park tomorrow. if 引导的条件状语从句用一般现在时表示将来时。
虚拟语气从句也是if 引导。但是if +一般过去式,主句用过去将来时(would +动词原形)
If I was a bird ,I would be happy.

to see后为宾语从句: the washing machine went wrong again.
