songs是復數，從句子的結構看，1如果你的which was fiarly often是songs的定語從句，修飾songs，那麼應該是were，修改後應該為which were fairly often ；
2 如果那句從句是非限定性定語從句的話，修飾整個句子，用was就沒有問題。但是你的定語從句中只有主語謂語而沒有賓語，fiarly 和often 都是副詞，需要一個表語，比如fair-sounding.

整個句子應該是這樣Whenever I listened to her songs,which was/were fair-sounding,her voice encouraged me.
