改變句子開頭方式
在通常情況下，英語句子的排列方式為「主語+謂語+賓語」，即主語位於句子開頭。但若根據情況適當改變句子的開頭方式，比如使用倒狀語或以狀語開頭等，會使文章增強表現力。

→ Only in this way can we protect the environment.

用詞要豐富
為了使表達更生動，更富表現力，同學們在寫作時應盡量避免重復使用同一詞語來表示同一意思，尤其是一些老生常談的詞語。如有的同學一看到「喜歡」二字，就會立刻想起like，事實上，英語中表示類似意思的詞和短語很多，如 love, enjoy, prefer, appreciate, be fond of, care for等。
· I like reading while my brother likes watching television.
→ I like reading while my brother enjoys watching television.

合理使用省略句
恰當地使用省略句，不僅可以使文章精練、簡潔，而且會使文章更具文采和可讀性。
· He may be busy. If he』s busy, I』ll call later. If he is not busy, can I see him now?
→ He may be busy. If so, I』ll call later. If not, can I see him now?

非謂語結構通常被認為是一種高級結構，適當運用非謂語結構，會給人一種熟練駕馭語言的印象。

結合使用長、短句
在英語寫作中，過多地使用長句或過多地使用短句都不好。正確的做法是，根據實際情況在文章中交替使用長句與短語，使文章顯得錯落有致，這樣不僅使文章在形式上增加美感，而且使文章讀起來鏗鏘有力。
At noon we had a picnic lunch in the sunshine. Then we had a short rest. Then we began to play happily. We sang and danced. Some told stories. Some played chess.

高考英語作文寫作技巧：四步流程
第一步，審題。
拿到題目後，手中拿鉛筆，手腦眼嘴並用，開始審題。看題目的要求是什麼，要點是什麼，特殊要求是什麼。譬如你是叫李華，還是隨便一個名字？ 要議論文還是記敘文？對分幾段寫有無要求？等等。諸如此類的硬性要求信息，都最好用鉛筆劃下來，以免出錯，也許你一開始會記得，可隨著時間的流逝，你會不會因緊張而遺忘這些信息呢？還是小心為妙。邊看最好邊張嘴默讀，這樣就不會遺漏或忽略任何一個字了。
第二步，草稿。
有的同學怕出錯，全文都打草稿再謄寫，我姑且認為不太可取，畢竟考場時間寶貴，即使我有四十分鍾時間寫作文也不敢貿然這么做，更何況考場時我們留給作文的時間往往一再被壓縮。有的同學不打草稿，我認為更不太可取。一來容易出錯，二來邊寫邊想思維不連貫，即使思維連貫也無法審詞酌句，展現自己最好的一面，容易後悔。
草稿怎麼打，我的做法是，一打結構，二打關鍵詞，三打句式。
1.結構就是你打算分幾段寫，每段都寫什麼？哪段轉哪段承哪段起合？心裡都要是有譜的。
2.關鍵詞：結構擬定後，迅速在草稿紙上寫下自己這篇作文可能用到的一些關鍵詞。包括一些漂亮的詞和自己可能會忘記的詞。主要是動詞和名詞。
譬如一省作文題： 假設你的名字是李華，亞洲冬季運動會將在你居住的地方舉辦，現招募志願者。你希望成為志願者。申請信的格式已經寫好了，你直接寫內容就可以。你的個人情況：年齡性別學歷，個人條件。英語好，愛好體育，擅長交際，樂於助人。承諾提供最佳服務。
關鍵詞就是學歷、愛好、擅長、樂於、承諾，和你對這篇作文初步構思時想到的一些詞。先把這些詞（指詞的英文表達）寫在紙上。有一些詞的拼寫，譬如學歷，可能你本身就記得不是特別清楚，這時一定要在開始寫作文前先把它寫下來，以免一會因干擾而遺忘。
然後，別著急，這些詞不一定就是你作文中要用的詞啊。可能看到聰明這個關鍵詞時，你最初寫下的往往是clever，再仔細想想，你是不是又想到了smart,deligient好多詞，挑個漂亮和合適的用吧。再比如轉折，你寫了but，這會再想想，是不是又有一堆表示轉折的詞在你腦里打轉呢？挑一個吧。千萬別用but.
3.句式：詞寫下來了，其實你構建這篇作文的建築材料就到位了，下步就是要把它們蓋成漂亮的作文。先用最普通的陳述句把它們在頭腦中過一遍，然後看看都能改成什麼句式。能不能把一句陳述句改成問句？能不能用上一個雙重否定句？能不能用一個主語從句套定語從句的長句？能不能用一個插入語？等等。把你高中三年的英語積累展示出來。在草稿紙上同樣標注。
三．正式寫。這樣的草稿打完後，就要快快寫了。注意，英語作文的卷面簡直太重要了，一定要把字寫整齊，寫大。沒有把握的詞和句子不用，寧可忍痛割愛也不冒犯錯的風險。別忘了遵守你最初用鉛筆劃下的題目的規定。
四．檢查。注意，最最重要的一步來了。盡管很小心，可是我們寫英語作文還是會犯下很多錯誤。單詞拼寫的，大小寫的，等等。這些錯誤會極大破壞我們在閱卷老師心目中的形象，一定要堅決誓死消滅。即使時間再緊，請務必留下1——2分鍾檢查作文的時間，消除隱性錯誤，避免自殺行為。

This is my eye China ecation ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 高考，一個既熟悉又陌生的名詞．說它熟悉是因為打記事起就聽大人們談論高考，說不熟悉是我從未接觸過它．如果說沒有參加過高考的人來評論高考，一定會引起很多經歷過高考的人的嗤之以鼻，不過站在我的角度看高考似乎更清晰． 高考是什麼？簡單的說就是一場考試，一場及其平常的考試．可因為種種的原由，高考變的似乎不那麼簡單了．小時侯每個人都有很多夢想，其中絕對不會少那一樣：上大學！殊不知，上大學不是那麼簡單的喊句口號就能做到的，小學、初中、高中，這些階段就是為上大學做鋪墊的。小學，本是玩的年紀，可我看見的卻是一副副眼鏡，一隻只沉到不能再沉的書包（甚至是幼兒園的孩子們都上起了MBA），為了高考----從娃娃抓起！！ 再說說初中，為了考上更好的高中，三年初中的艱苦生活一點也不亞於三年的高中生活，不是說一腳跨進名牌高中就等於一腳跨進了名牌大學么？於是學生們廢寢忘食地學習，老師忘我地教育，為了共同的目標----中考而邁進。 先來說說那個什麼素質教育，我想起碼在小學的階段應該能夠實現「素質」教育吧，可是在本人小學的時候，有一段時間國家說要給全國的孩子們減負，於是我們學校履行了這一重要思想，可還沒到3天的光景，一切恢復原樣，不但沒有減負反倒是給我們這些孩子的肩上在重重的添上一層負擔。初中，在初中的教學中，「素質」這兩個字只在前一年半中稍有出現，後半段可想而知，開學發書的時候有音樂、美術、勞作等等，可仔細看看課程表裡面沒有半個字和剛才提到的有關，所有一切「副課」都得給主課讓道，老師振振有辭地話至今還在我耳邊縈繞：「你們都是要成為高中生的人了，還要什麼自修課？不要抓抓緊啊。時間就是金錢，多一節課就能多講些內容。」於是書包里裝的滿是參考答案和試卷。老師還說：「中考只有一次機會，要把握住了！」沖著這句話我們只有挑燈夜讀奮力拚搏，絲毫沒有半點馬虎。早晨看見同學的雙眼和我一樣，猩紅，並半有深深的黑眼圈。上課時，哈欠聲接連不斷。 不知道老師看著心不心疼。 用我的比喻，高中就是人間的地獄，高三就是這地獄的第18層，或許我的比喻有寫過分，但這是事實。高中生活的苦我就不多說了，各位也都心知肚明。一年一度的高考如期而至，看看考場外那些焦急等待的父母，看看考場外那些維持治安的警察，看看那些報紙、電視的報道。。。。。。人們似乎過於重視高考了，高考只是一件很普通的事情，但是很多父母並不這么想：「上了大學么就等於抓到了就業的機會呀！」這話對嗎，或許，我只能說或許對吧，高考，我覺得和紙上談兵沒有什麼區別，為什麼高考前要如此的復習？高考始終是不脫離文本的一種考試，它測試到生活中的能力了嗎？沒有。考出高分只能說明你對文本的掌握非常好，而並沒有真正看到你的能力。這個社會高分低能的人很多，為什麼會這樣呢？這就是應試教育培養出的高級「弱智」。應試教育還摧殘了一部分人的身心，排名次，我不認為排名次是一件好事，它帶來的種種幅面影響遠比正面的多的多；分數，為什麼我們會那麼重視分數？在我們的眼中分數其實和金錢一樣重要，我們甚至不會想去糾正哪裡錯了，而是一味的責備自己得的低分。應試教育，一張可怕的網，我想能漏網的魚寥寥無幾，像韓寒那樣的漏網之魚我看是少之又少。有教育界的人認為韓寒是僥幸，對，就是僥幸，可我覺得他的僥幸真是幸運了，遠離了高考的魔爪，過自己的生活。 高考還會一直走下去，莘莘學子們將一如既往的前仆後繼地趕去前線，有時候自己會奢望，如果高考取締了那是一件多令人高興的事情，那是不可能的，也是不符合中國的國情的。但我覺得一定不止我一個人希望這事快點到來，這么多年來，高考喊著要改革，那改了嗎？沒有，而是一年又一年的輪回。 這就是我眼中的中國教育~~~~~~~~~~

我高二的時候買了一本書《王長喜十句作文法》講的是關於四六級考試的，應用優美的模板來寫作的技巧（說實在的這個有點兒投機取巧，但是應對考試綽綽有餘）。我分析了一下平時的考卷，發現作文的題材有六七成都和裡面所介紹的五種相關，我就把他裡面提供的相同題材的幾個不同模板做了一下整理，每種題材整理出一個我自認為最完美的模板（模板中不乏顯擺自己高超語法技巧的閃光點）然後每一次考試盡量套上一個適合的模板，結果是十有八九我的作文會成為範文之一。
所以，建議你買一本類似於模板的書，這種書市面上現在很多的，不僅是王長喜的，其他的也有。你現在要萬金油句子你也不一定會運用得很自然甚至巧妙，因此，整理出幾套模板，然後就這幾套模板好好看一些優秀的例文。相信不久你的作文水平會得到很大的提升
