How to protect our environment
As we all know that our living environment is in trouble! Almost every day we seem to hear of serious problems affecting the environment----waste, The Ozone Layer, The Greenhouse Effect, pollution, acid rain, the extinction of species of animals and plants and so on.
In view to the list of the threats, measures have to be made to make our environment better. That is to say we have to find a way of solving the problems before our environment will suffer even more. Every one of us, whatever age we are, we can do something to help slow down and repair some of the damage. Here are some ideas to help protect our environment.
First, we are responsible for the clean environment of our cities. We should get out of the bad habits of throwing away rubbish everywhere, spitting and smoking in public, scrawling on the wall and so on.
Second, make our surrroundings tidy and clean. It requires us to get into a good habit of keeping ourselves clean and keep our house and yard clean as well.
Besides, it is strongly suggested that we should take buses more instead of driving cars. And another surpring good news is that the less we eat meat, the better our environment will be.
All in all, we should learn to use our natural resources like air, fresh water, forests, wildlife, farmland without damaging them because it is reported that it is human beings that have destroyed and are destroying the environment. Let's hold hand in hand to make our environment better!

我們都知道我們的生活環境正遭受災難，每天我們都能聽到一些關於導致環境惡化的影響因素，這些因素有：廢棄物、臭氧層、溫室效應、污染、酸雨、動植物滅絕等等。
考慮到所列出的對環境造成的威脅因素，我們必須採取措施以便我們的環境變得更好。也就是說我們必須在我們的環境更加惡化之前就找到解決問題的途徑。我們每一個人，無論年紀大小，都可以做到減緩或修復我們環境的職責。下面是幾點關於如何保護環境的建議。
首先，我們有責任保持城市的整潔。我們應該摒棄一些壞習慣如亂丟垃圾、在公共場合吐痰吸煙、亂寫亂畫等。
其次，清潔我們身邊的環境。這就要求我們做到養成良好的個人衛生習慣，清掃室內外衛生等。
除此以外，強烈建議大家少開車多坐公交車。另一條振奮人心的好消息是少吃肉環境就會變得更好。
總的來說，我們要學會如何保護和使用我們的自然資源如空氣、水、森林、野生動植物、農田等以使其不受到破壞。因為我們都知道正是人類破壞了環境。那麼就讓我們攜起手來為使我們的環境變得更好而共同努力吧！
