用有趣新穎的方式導入新課。興趣是入門的向導和敲門磚，能激發學生對新課的好奇心，進而學生們就會自然而然有一探究竟的渴望。作為一名年輕的老師，我一般運用多種方式導入新課，比如工整的板書，精心製作的教學卡片，豐富多彩的圖片，切題的英文音樂，貼近他們生活的話題，甚至是一個小游戲……只要能在一定程度上引起學生強烈的好奇心，整節課就可以說是為成功贏得了先機。記得八年級上學期有一個單元是「Myfuture」,在上課前，我就通過freetalk和孩子們做了一下討論，詢問他們的夢想以及未來理想的職業。孩子們各抒己見，十分活躍。有了良好的導入，這一課，他們自然很用心的傾聽了
在授課方式上，採取小組討論方法，競賽和獎懲掛鉤。初中的學生正處於叛逆期，愛玩的心性正盛，對於學習，他們的自控能力有限，不能把心思都放心學習上，但是自尊心逐漸顯現，表現欲增強。針對初中孩子們的心理特點，經過幾次的聽課經驗和與其他老師的交流，在英語課堂上，我們學校積極貫徹杜郎口導學案模式，將小組討論搬進家教課堂，而我則根據孩子們整體小組的表現，分別給予加分或減分，一般用「正」來表示。不管進行怎樣的課堂活動，小組競賽法始終貫徹其中。期間，如果某組的同學做小動作，或者跟別的同學說話，我會適當的在改組的分數上減一分，當然如果某組的同學表現特別突出，我也會根據情況進行適當的加分，這一切加分減分活動都是有一定的根據的，不能隨心所欲，否則會引起孩子們的公憤。每次課堂的結尾，我會對各組的得分進行一下統計，得分最高的那個組會獲得一定的獎勵，如果當天的英語作業是寫三遍單詞的話，那他們的那個組的同學就會寫兩遍;而得分最低的那個組將會派出兩個同學做我一天的科代表，給我抱作業，發作業，往黑板上寫一些練習題….實踐表明，這樣的小競賽，會在一定程度上吸引學生們的注意力，培養他們的合作意識，增強他們的集體榮譽感。記得在一節新授課上，張松和他們組的李書磊上課說悄悄話，我沒有火冒三丈的批評他們，只是說了句：「各位同學注意了，要是上課不認真聽講的話，可是要給自己的小組扣分啦，都要becareful!」我的話剛落音，他們兩個立刻端端正正的做好了，一直到課的結尾，他們都沒再亂說一句。其實，用分數作為評價孩子們表現的標准，歸根到底還是為了好好鞭策他們把心思放到學習上去，實踐表明這樣的方式還是很有成效的。
運用恰當精確的提問方式。一般的英語提問方式無非是：Canyouanswerthisquestion?或者是：Doyouknowtheanswer?在新課堂上，這樣的提問方式不但不會激起學生的興趣，可能會起到適得其反的作用。所以，在提問方式上，對於我們這些新老師提出了更嚴格的標准。其實就我看來，良好的提問方式，不是很難解決的事，只要提問充滿了人性化，考慮到孩子們的實際情況和接受能力，不再那麼死板，一切都是水到渠成的事。比如，我如果想讓孩子們回答問題，我一般是這樣提問的：Aboutthisquestion,what』syouropinion?或者如果孩子們的回答不太准確，我就會再提示一下：Youranswerisgood,?」我想如果這樣提問的話，可以更加鼓勵孩子們回答問題，而這樣的提問效果我認為是以前提問方式所不可企及的。

學好英語，一套科學的學習方法是必不可少的。由於個人實際情況不同，生搬硬套是行不通的。學習英語最好的方式是師生之間不斷的交流和討論，學生學習的內容不外乎認單詞懂意思，在黑板前不斷地講，學生只是聽，這樣是無法達到良好效果的，重要的是交流，學生在交流的過程中學習，並可以在日後應用它，在英孚學生的聽說之所以提高很快，是因為他們每天在與外教交流，交流的過程在不斷的學習，同時每天學習5個新單詞，不要單單明白意思，而是要知道如何使用和在何種語態中使用，有時間的話可以多看看英文書籍和電影，這樣學習英語可以變成簡單和快樂的事。
另外還要不斷練慣用英語思維和組織語言，忘掉漢語，用英語思維可以提高你的語速並可以避免「中國式英語」，對於聽到的英語也不要譯成漢語再思考和理解，高密度長期練習，英語聽說能力會在4-6個月的時間內有所提高。
