這類口語題的第二句話通常都是Please include specific examples and details in your explanation. 所以同學們也大可放心的跳過，此處又節約寶貴的幾秒鍾。綜合我剛剛說的兩個技巧，我們完全可以把一二題的准備時間由15秒延長到25秒甚至更長。接觸過口語考試的同學都知道，這多出來的十秒鍾可以辦成很多事情，可以多想一個分論點，可以多找一個素材，這些對於拿高分或者保中等分，都是至關重要的!
講完了准備時間，讓咱們再來琢磨一下45秒鍾的答題時間。有同學經常無奈地問我，你給我說了那麼多擠出准備時間的方法，又給我准備了那麼多口語素材，我怎麼還是不爭氣，當嗶聲完畢開始計時錄音的時候還是沒法脫口而出流利的答案...
首先，如果上課有認真聽講，課後有踏實掌握老師給出的幾十個常見素材的話，肯定是可以出口成章的!但是為了以防萬一，如果「嗶」聲後大腦一片空白，咱們應該怎麼樣才能Fill the blank (填白)。方法並不神秘!我們就是需要准備一些插科打揮的句子來掩飾說不出答案的尷尬。比如：It is an interesting question. Let me think about it. 或者：It is a difficult question. Why didn』t I think of it before? 其實誰都知道這些是沒有實際功能的句子，但是比起在開始錄音後還在支支吾吾或者沉默不語，這樣的句子還是要好很多，因為這是口語考試，把這類句子熟練地甩出來還是在一定程度上顯示了我們的口語能力，並且還可以爭取一點時間來繼續思考後面的答案。當然，這肯定是不能立即想出答案退而求其次的做法，並不能成為大家不好好練習的退路哦。
最後，我們還是以一二題為例來講講如果湊不夠時間又要怎麼辦。其實如果對於口語素材掌握得到位的話，也很難出現時間有富餘。考試的最佳答案一定是說完最後一個分論點加例子之後時間剛剛好。但是如果因為各種原因確實有extra time, 我們仍然需要Fill the blank. 如果留白時間短，我們可以選擇短句子：That』s all.
