一封完整的電子郵件都有兩個基本部分組成：信頭和信體。

(1)信頭一般有下面幾個版部分：

①收信權人，即收信人的電子郵件地址；

②抄送，表示同時可以收到該郵件的其他人的電子郵件地址，可有多個；

③主題，是概括地描述該郵件內容，可以是一個詞，也可以是一句話。由發信人自擬。

(2)信體。信體是希望收件人看到的信件內容，有時信件體還可以包含附件。附件是含在一封信件里的一個或多個計算機文件，附件可以從信件上分離出來，成為獨立的計算機文件。
