B. 怎樣有效開展小學英語口語教學

一．情景式口語教學法——讓學生想說
在中國的英語課堂上，有很多學生不願開口說話，擔心自己開口會說錯，會遭人恥笑。這樣「不語」的學生在課堂上始終處於被動位置。根據這一點，教師應給學生創造一個良好的語言環境，可漸漸消除他們的心理障礙，漸漸地讓學生產生想用英語表達的願望。
小學生的形象思維能力高於抽象思維能力，對生活中直接接觸的事或物比較了解，而對只限於書上看到，學到的容易忘記。基於此英語對小學生來說是一門從「零」開始的學科，教師要絞盡腦汁把這虛無縹緲的東西在學生腦中留有深刻印象，就得靠依靠現實的生活情景了。一方面，增強學生的形象記憶；另一方面，增強學習興趣。「興趣是最好的老師」。如在教What are you doing？時，設置一個情景：讓一個學生捧著本書，然後回答：I』m reading 。這樣既實際又貼近生活，學生在不知不覺中提高口語表達的流利程度。
再者，小學生愛玩、愛動、好表現自己，因而把課文的對話創設成情景，讓學生用表演的形式進行交流，學習語言是最恰當不過了。如復習「Let』s eat」（這一單元時，教師可利用實物、圖片等創設情境，讓學生們進入到餐廳里，再以「Old MacDonald has a farm」這首歌，營造了一個氣氛，接著把帽子戴上，此時教師變成了「waitress」(女侍應),手裡的書變成了侍應手上的托盤，而學生們則變成了顧客，讓學生嘗試向我提出各種要求：如I like hamburgers. I like hot dogs. Can I have some cakes? 也嘗試著讓學生提出各種建議，如：Have some juice. Have some ice creams等。還要嘗試著運用上各種禮貌用語，贊美用語，如Thank you. You』re welcome. Oh, it』s nice. I like it 等。學生們興趣濃厚，他們在模擬的情景中嘗試交流並進行交際，活學活用地把所學到的知識運用到實際中去了。
二．直觀式口語教學法——讓學生會說
直觀的教具在教學里一向手到重視。在一些學校多媒體設備不完備，資源缺乏的情況下，直觀教學是極為有效的教學手段，尤其是在低年級英語教學中。低年級兒童心理學表明低年級兒童在學習外語時心理和生理上有很多優勢，短時記憶力強，好奇心重，模仿力強但較為直觀，缺乏抽象能力。因而通過直觀教學則能彌補這一不足。利用教具可以使教學方法多樣化，容易引起和保持學生的興趣，最大限度地調動學生的學習積極性。如，在教授（Fun of English 3A） Unit3 This is my father. 是在教水果類單詞時，老師可自帶一些水果，或者可讓學生帶一些，讓學生有直觀感受到單詞所對應的實物，同時對照實物練習口語的過程中，減少了學生內心中對英語單詞的翻譯過程，能直接見實物將英語單詞脫口而出，學會用用語表達,從而做到快速而又自然地運用單詞,而並非死記硬背式的單純記憶。
對於高年級的英語口語教學中，可利用圖片，掛圖等直觀教具，結合講故事，復述等教學方法來充分練習學生的口語，從而在說的過程中鞏固句型，語法等，例：Fun of English 5B）Unit4 Halloween,該單元中目標在與學生能運用句型；「What do you like?」,「Do you like…?」,「I like…」在A部分的教授中，可以利用掛圖，學生聽錄音的基礎上，用講述的口氣，將課文內容講述給學生，並且讓學生理解後根據掛圖提示復述出課文內容，以講故事的形式完成教學，還可以讓學生用所學過的內容，靈活的編寫。
三．游戲式口語教學法——讓學生敢說
游戲的過程是激發學生興趣，並最大限度的保持這一興趣，使學生資源，愉快地說英語的一種教學方法。在課堂英語教學中，採用游戲是練習學生口語的一種很有效的手段。首先，所用來的游戲應符合以下三條基本標准，1）它們能激發學生的興趣並使課堂教學多樣化；2）它們能增加學生對外語的理解；3）它們將誘導學生去說這種新的語言。其次，採用的游戲應適合學生的年齡特點，對於低年級學生可採用些簡單的，易操作的游戲。例如：在復習水果單詞時，先把水果放在一隻盒子里，讓學生閉上眼睛用手去摸一摸，讓學生猜一猜盒子里裝的是什麼，然後讓學生用英語說出該水果的名稱，接著要求學生找一找該單詞的「好朋友」；或者出示字母卡片，讓學生排隊組成一個個水果單詞。這些活動比單純讓學生讀單詞有效得多。
對於高年級學生來說，則要組織些有難度的游戲，並有適當的獎懲制度。在學生明白游戲規則後，應盡量多的給學生參與的機會。由學生自行組織並參與其中。如，Fun of English 5B Unit6 A PE lesson中對指令的學習，可由老師師范，先發號指令「Put your hands on your shoulders」,「Touch your nose with your finger once」,而後，由學生自己發號指令，其餘學生做，做錯的給予懲罰；或是讓學生分成6～8組上前表演。一個到兩個學生發號指令，其餘組員按指令做動作來練習。
對於游戲的選擇上可根據實際教學內容，同時可有選擇的改變，結合直觀教學手段，呈現實物，讓學生在玩的過程中說英語，用英語來交流，達到「寓教於樂」。
英語口語的教學不僅僅限於教學，在小學教育中低年級英語的課時約每周三節，中、高年級每周英語課時為4節。因此，可以看到除了完成正常的英語教學任務外，用於學生練習口語，開口說英語是少之又少。盡管教師在課堂中盡可能多的讓學生開口練習口語，但這些時間是非常少的。再者，英語作為第二語言是與周圍環境的脫離，在課余時間形成良好的英語環境是非常有必要的。其最有效地便是開展英語課外活動。它形式多樣，靈活多變，很能激起學生學英語的興趣，使學生多方面發展英語才能。例如，教師可以利用活動課時間給學生欣賞一些英語卡通片，利用課前和課上的五分鍾，教學生一些簡單的英語歌曲，以培養學生學習英語的興趣，感受英語氛圍，形成良好的語音語調的環境。教師只有在英語教學中真正將視、聽、說相結合，讓學生敢於用英語表達自己的思想，才能達到英語口語的提高。
四、兒歌式口語教學——讓學生樂說
兒歌是少兒口頭傳唱的歌謠，它在任何一種語言中都是語言的啟迪，是孩子們最有效的學習工具。英語兒歌由於內容豐富生動，語言淺顯，節奏明快，是活在孩子們口頭上的英語文學。它很容易激發少兒的學習興趣，保持少兒的學習動力，是非常適合孩子門學習的一種形式，也是英語口語教學的一種方法。
為了增加學生的語言素材，教師可以把一些孤立的單詞用兒歌串連起來，幫助學生記憶，並運用，讓學生在課餘生活中不知不覺得喜歡上用用語進行口頭表達。下面筆者就將自己在教學中經常使用的幾類英語兒歌作簡單介紹：
1．聯想式兒歌：兒童自言自語，用英語兒歌表達自己感興趣的的事物。
Birds, birds, fly, fly, fly;
Birds, birds, I like birds.
Cats, cats, catch, catch, catch;
Cats, cats, I like cats.
2．對話式兒歌：兒童之間一唱一和，以對兒歌的方式展示一段真實的生活情境。
Matter, matter, what』s the matter?
Cold, cold, I am cold.
Jacket, jacket, here』s a jacket.
Thank you, thank you.
Not at all.
Six, six, six o』clock;
Up, up, get up.
All right, all right.
Goodbye, goodbye.

3．問答式兒歌：兒童一問一答，可以就有趣的問題自問自答，也可以互相問答。

以上四種口語教學方法只有綜合使用，循序漸進，互為補充，相得益彰，才能讓學生的英語表達逐步從「不想說」「不會說」「不敢說」「不願說」的尷尬處境中走出來。
總之，英語口語教學不只是使學生系統的掌握了英語日常口語，了解了語言的文化含義，更重要的是促進了學生思辨能力的形成與發展，提高學生運用知識，思考分析問題的能力、提出見解的能力。
