㈠ 一篇英語口語演講稿!!

our life is not only ourself是什麼

㈡ 英語口語演講稿

What is the biggest effect of the Internet.

No invention has received more praise and abuse than Internet .

There is no doubt that we can do the things that for us may be difficult or even impossible in the past with the help of Internet . We can communicate with the friends we have lost touch with for many years by the Internet

I enjoy go on line ,for I can do whatever I like ,such as talking with my friends, chatting with my teacher and also listenning some music. However, what I like most is to read electrical magzine or watch some English films.I can also know the lastest news about the world instently. As I am a student ,I do not have much time surffing the Internet..

But I will go on line in the weekend if I have finished my homework .my parents agree with me.In fact they always support me on everything I like I believe that people equate success in life with the ability of operating computer. It is generally accepted that no college or university can ecate its students by the time they graate,so may be computer skills will enchance our job opportunities or promotion..

However ,some believe that it is a terrible invention, because their kids are clinging to the net games and even crime as a result of the bad effect. What is more, some girls are cheated by people through Internet.

Some parents do not allow their kids to surf ,they think that it will have a negative effect on kids. I agree with the old saying "no work and no play make jack a ll boy". So we have to face the internet fairly. Every thing has two sides,we should learn to use it correctly. First ,we should learn the common sense of safety. Before we do every thing,we should think twice.it will help us always. Then,we should try to protect ourselves.I think we had better not chat with some strangers. The most important thing is that we must not leave out our address and some information about us and our familly.

In all,we should know to master it in a right way. This is also the reason why everyone can not be Bill Gates

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
【Responsibility】

The difference between college and high school is perhaps best illustrated by the example of three students who receive the same poor grade on an exam. They respond as follows:
XiaoMing asks, "Are you going to curve this? It was too hard."
LiGang asks, "How did everybody else do? What was the average?"
YangJia asks, "What can I do to prepare better for next time?"

【Work Load】

A typical course load in high school includes more than 30 hours of classroom instruction, but 12 to 15 hours is considered a full load in college. The reason for this is that college courses typically require two to three hours of preparation for each hour spent in the classroom. Students are expected to come to class having already studied the material, so that more information can be covered each semester than is possible in a typical high school setting.

【Alt Students】

The vast majority of college students are alts (i.e, over 18 years old), whereas almost all high school students are adolescents. This means that college students will have more competing responsibilities -- such as jobs and families -- than high school students. It also means, however, that college students are typically self motivated and more able to take responsibility for their own learning.
Among the alts in college are some -- often known as "non-traditional" or "returning" -- students who are older than the typical student who has recently completed high school. These students often face special challenges as they balance family and job responsibilities with school, especially if they have not been in an academic environment for a number of years. In many cases, however, they make special contributions to the classes they take, as they model a strong commitment to learning while sharing insights they have gained from added life experience.

【Non-Compulsory Ecation】

Although college is increasingly important for long-term financial security, it is not compulsory in this country. This means that all college students are enrolled voluntarily, and should be motivated more by their desire to learn than by the detailed requirements of the syllabus. Just as in high school, students who are most genuinely interested in learning for its own sake will be most successful.

Often, those with a desire to learn are discouraged or even ridiculed by their family members. If this sounds too familiar, you will find encouragement in Dear Abby's June 29, 2004 column, especially the letter from Dr. Ballou.

【Teacher or Professor?】

College faculty are called "professors," not "teachers." It is customary at Bridgewater to address professors as "Professor Smith," for example. Many professors have earned doctoral degrees; they may be addressed either as "Doctor Smith" or "Professor Smith" -- but not "Mrs. Smith." The degrees will often follow the professor's name, as in Mary Smith, Ph.D. or Jane Smith, Ed.D. The Ph.D. is a Doctor of Philosophy, although it is awarded in many disciplines besides philosophy. The Ed.D. is the Doctor of Ecation, which is awarded in the discipline of Ecation. "Doc," by the way, is a term of endearment for some professors and a minor annoyance for others.
Both teachers and professors undergo extensive training and evaluation before they are allowed into the classroom. Although exceptions are relatively common, college faculty generally lack the credentials to teach in elementary and high school, just as K-12 teachers lack the credentials to teach in colleges. Just as the needs of the institutions differ, so does the kind of training required.

One difference, for example, is that although many teachers contribute to ongoing scholarship in their fields, for professors this is an integral part of the job. This is why professors do not spend as many hours each week teaching as do high school teachers. Moreover, although professors do cooperate with each other, they enjoy a greater degree of autonomy to decide their own curricula and grading systems.

Something that surprises a lot of people coming from high school to college is that professors are sometimes not as easy to find. Professors spend fewer hours in the classroom and more hours doing research and serving on committees. These activities often require them to be away from their offices, or even away from the campus, for many hours or even entire days or weeks at a time. Many professors I know (including myself) pride ourselves on having open doors when we are in the office, so students can feel comfortable dropping by, but we often must be away from the office. Sometimes a professor will even be away from his or her e-mail account for hours or days at a time, so communicating with professors requires a bit of patience and planning ahead.

【Diversity】

Multi-culturalism and diversity may have become clichés, but they are an important part of the college experience, and for many students they represent a significant departure from high school. Variety is the spice of life (please forgive another cliché), and variety both in and out of the classroom is a valuable part of the college experience.
General ecation programs are the foundation of any liberal arts program. The purpose of such a program, in my view, is to stimulate the intellect in a variety of ways, using the particular modes of learning and expression of a variety of disciplines. If successful, such an experience not only broadens each student's exposure to the world of ideas, but it also prepares the student for a variety of learning experiences in the future. It is the intellectual equivalent of athletic cross-training. It is what distinguishes a liberal-arts program from a vocational program. The dividends of such a learning program might not be readily apparent to the student until many years after the fact.

In addition to a stimulating curriculum, college life offers many opportunities to meet people from different backgrounds. For many people, college provides the first opportunity to work closely with people from another country or religious tradition. College is a time to have meaningful interaction -- often for the first time -- with somebody who has strongly different political views or who is of a different sexual orientation. Extra-curricular activities are not just for fun. They are an important part of what college has to offer for all students.

【Grading】

In college, each professor is free to establish his or her own grading policies. These are usually described in the course syllabus, and students are expected to know the rules and to be able to estimate their own grades. I learned recently that in some high schools, students who do not do an assignment receive a grade of "F" on it, but it is calculated as the equivalent of 50 percent. In college, this is rare. Grades are based on work assigned, not work completed, and a ZERO is a ZERO. If four items are assigned, and the student does two of them, that student will probably fail the course, no matter how high the grades on the completed work.

【Learning】

Over the past couple of decades, public schools have increasingly come under the control of politicians who believe in a focus on the rote learning of facts, rather than on learning how to learn. The result has been an emphasis on standardized testing and the accumulation of facts. Ironically, the more teaching is focused on factual learning, the fewer facts students actually learn. The fewer facts students learn, the greater the emphasis has been on test-driven teaching. It is a vicious circle. It makes college readiness difficult, because college focuses on the learning process and critical thinking. High school students are often focused on finding as many answers as quickly as possible, or on memorizing facts without necessarily understanding how they are connected to each other.

To overcome this, I encourage students to slow down, and to spend more time listening, reading, and writing. When listening, ask questions. After listening, try telling someone else what you heard. When reading, think about what the reading is for, who wrote it, and why they did so. Again, after reading something, try to explain it to someone else. When writing, make a draft, let it rest, and then write it again. Show it to a friend who is a good writer, or take it to your campus writing center. If the professor writes comments on your work, read those comments, and ask follow-up questions about them.

For young generation, there 『s no doubt that men and women are created equal ,the saying that women come to be part of men is unable to convince all the modern people .

However , there』re still female workers have no accesses to some jobs which』re said to be available for male only around us . Nowadays ,more and more people get to know that women, who hold up half the sky , are no longer what they were decades of years ago.The number of women who have great influence on our country or big companies is growing up rapidly.

Nevertheless ordinary women』s social status is still unfavorable. The reason why this phenomenon happens is that a social realization of no discrimination about sex hasn』t come to us .Thus ,the principle task for us is not to adore the minority inspiring women but to pay attention to the majority ones who』re still treated unequally.

What we shall do is to refuse unfair treatment in any cases and ask for no more ignorance for equal chances.Only in this way,the expected change of women』s social status will come in less years.

Change the World, Change Ourselves.
It』 my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech—Change the World, Change Ourselves. It』s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected. Not long before about 10 Doctors in Beijing university and Qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture. Frankly speaking, I don』t quite agree with them.Indeed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as China boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions. (examples). But why can』t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture. There are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in China. On the one hand, some of the western holidays which we Chinese don』t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as Father』s Day and April Fool』s Day etc. On the other hand, the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in China. Overwhelmed by such a trend,Chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture. With the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. We are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth. The only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? The answer is definitely no. What we ought to do is to spare no effort to ecate Chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. Only by ecating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture. Only by ecating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us. At last I』d like to share a famouse saying of Gandhi with all of you ,that is:If you want to change the world, then you must change yourself first.」

Students are not willing to, or dare not, or not able to raise questions. What we can see in class is that teachers say and ask while students listen and answer. The questioning consciousness of students and the teaching behavior of teachers remain the same as before because no existing teaching management systems, or teaching evaluation systems, or teaching methods support them.
We have no choice but to make full use of super reading, improve our present teaching methods, follow the specific rules in the teaching of reading, and believe in its bright future.
我們只有充分利用超閱讀,優化當前的閱讀教學,遵循閱讀教學的特性和規律,相信閱讀教學定會有光明的前景。

㈨ 英語口語演講稿

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.for me,i prefer to go to a smaller city after my gration.i have three points to support my views.
First, you know,in China so many students want to stay in Beijing.however, there are not enough jobs waiting for us.so if we want to survive in the jobhunting markets and lots of interviews,we must be very excellent and there must be many challenges.
second,in my personal opinion,i like peaceful and tranquil cities or towns to live.i wouldn't like to live in noisy cities. As we all know,so many people are living in Beijing and lots of vehicles are running in the street .people are living in noisy surroundings and traffics are very busy.
Third,as a college student ,we should go to isolated areas to make contributions to our country.it is our ty to do our best to help people in undeveloped areas.we should "Go West"to make a difference.
On the whole,i prefer to go to a smaller city to make a difference.
Thank you very much.
