找了五個我認為是口語比賽很好的文章:有小故事,有詩歌...

1.The Little Boy Asks the Meaning of Life
By: Author Unknown第一個是Walt Disney跟一個小男孩的對話.他用四組字來概括人生的意義:思考,堅信,夢想,勇敢.

An eight-year-old boy approached an old man in front of a wishing well, looked up into his eyes, and asked:
"I understand you're a very wise man. I'd like to know the secret of life."
The old man looked down at the youngster and replied:
"I've thought a lot in my lifetime, and the secret can be summed up in four words. The first is think. Think about the values you wish to live your life by. The second is believe. Believe in yourself based on the thinking you've done about the values you're going to live your life by. The third is dream. Dream about the things that can be, based on your belief in yourself and the values you're going to live by. The last is dare. Dare to make your dreams become reality, based on your belief in yourself and your values."

And with that, Walter E. Disney said to the little boy, "Think, Believe, Dream, and Dare."

2.The Greatest Pain In Life
人生最大的痛苦不是要死去,而是被人無視...

The greatest pain in life, is not to die, but to be forgotten.
--- To be left in the st after another's great achievement.
--- To never get a call from a friend, just saying "hi".
--- When you show someone your innermost thoughts and they laugh in your face.
--- For friends to always be too busy to console you when you need someone to lift your spirits.
--- When it seems like the only person who cares about you, is you.
--- Life is full of pain, but does it ever get better?
Will people ever care about each other, and make time for those who are in need?

Each of us has a part to play in this great show we call life.
Each of us has a ty to mankind to tell our friends we love them.
If you do not care about your friends you will not be punished.
You will simply be ignored...
forgotten...
as you have done to others.

3.Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow昨天.今天.和明天

Today is the tomorrow I worried about yesterday
And today was such a lovely day,
that I wondered why I worried about today yesterday
So today I am not going to worry about tomorrow
There may not be a tomorrow anyway
So today I am going to live as if there is no tomorrow
And I am going to forget about yesterday.

Today is the tomorrow I planned for yesterday
And nearly all my plans for today did not plan out the way I thought they would yesterday
So today I am forgetting about tomorrow and I will plan for today
But not too strenuously
Today I will stop to smell a rose
I will tell a loved one how much I love her
I will stop planning for tomorrow and plan to make today the best day of my life.

Today is the tomorrow I was afraid of yesterday
And today was nothing to be afraid of
So today I will banish fear of the unknown
I will embrace the unknown as a learning experience full of exciting opportunities
Today, unlike yesterday I will not fear tomorrow.

Today is the tomorrow I dreamed about yesterday
And some of the dreams I dreamt about yesterday came true today
So today I am going to continue dreaming about tomorrow
And perhaps more of the dreams I dream today will come true tomorrow.

Today is the tomorrow I set goals for yesterday
And I reached some of those goals today
So today I am going to set slightly higher goals for today and tomorrow
And if tomorrow turns out to be like today
I will certainly reach all of my goals one day!

4.Wisdom for the Road人生路上的智慧

② 關於 希望之星英語口語大賽 比賽流程，具體要求（初中組）

的英語口語比賽，是小學B組的，培訓的老師說遇到不懂的詞過掉，只要講出來戲劇等(英語語言類，不帶伴奏）；3.決賽1。即興演講；2.話題討論、辯論。

③ 初中英語口語大賽2~3分鍾自我介紹

大賽分初賽、復賽、決賽、全國總決賽四個階段進行。
05年比賽參考項目及評比規則
1、 英語故事：自選題材2個，分別作為初賽和復賽的參賽內容，以英語講述。時間2分鍾。
評比：內容分，語音語調分，詞彙語法分，流暢性分2、 英文歌曲：自選英文歌曲2首，分別作為初賽和復賽的參賽內容，現場演唱。時間2分鍾。自備服裝、伴奏帶。
評比：內容分，語音語調分，藝術表現分，流暢性分3、 英語問答：由評委專家提出問題，選手作答。時間2分鍾。
評比：內容分，語音語調分，詞彙語法分，流暢性分4、圖片描述：選手根據評委命題，對獲得的圖像內容進行描述。時間2分鍾。

評比：詞彙語法分、語音語調分、邏輯分、流暢性分9、英語演講：選手自選題目2個，分別作為初賽和復賽的參賽內容，現場演講。時間2分鍾。自備服裝。
評比：內容分，語音語調分，詞彙語法分，流暢性分說明：初賽、復賽現場提供話筒、錄音機，選手參賽時需使用的道具、服裝、伴奏帶等自行提供。決賽提供競賽現場。

⑥ 英語口語大賽 中學生

去聽聽lemon tree，基本上這類口語比賽的單詞都可以在裡面替換，就是一個小故事，既好聽又好唱~祝親比賽成功！

Studies serve for delight, for ornament, and for ability. Their chief use for delight, is in privateness and retiring; for ornament, is in discourse; and for ability, is in the judgment and disposition of business.

For expert and execute, and perhaps judge of particulars, one by one; but the general counsels, and the plots and marshalling of affairs, come best form those that are learned. To spend too much time in studies is sloth; to
use them too much for ornament, is affectation; to make judgement wholly by their rules, is the humour of a scholar.

They perfect nature, and are perfected by experience: for natural abilities are like natural plants, that need proyning by study; and studies themselves do give forth directions too much at large, except they be bounded in by
experience.

Crafty men contemn studies, simple men admire them, and wise men use them; for they teach not their own use; but that is a wisdom without them, and above them, won by observation.

Read not to contradict and confute; nor to believe and take for granted; nor
to find talk and discourse; but to weigh and consider

Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be
chewed and digested; that is, some books are to be read only in parts;
others to be read, but not curiously; and some few to be read wholly, and
with diligence and attention. Some books also may be read by deputy, and
extracts made of them by others; but that would be only in the less
important arguments, and the meaner sort of books; else distilled books are,
like common distilled waters, flashy things.

Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man.
And therefore, if a man write little, he had need have a great memory; if he
confer little, he had need have a present wit; and if he read little, he had
need have much cunning, to seem to know that he doth not.

Histories make men wise; poets witty; the mathematics subtile; natural
philosophy deep; moral grave; logic and rhetoric able to contend. Abeunt
studia in morse.

Nay there is no stand or impediment in the wit, but may be wrought out by
fit studies: like as diseases of the body may have appropriate exercises.
Bowling is good for the stone and reins; shooting for the lungs and breast;
gentle walking for the stomach; riding for the head; and the like. So if a
man's wit be wandering, let him study the mathematics; for in
demonstrations, if his wit be called away never so little, he must begin
again. If his wit be not apt to distinguish or find differences, let him
study the schoolmen; for they are cymini sectores. If he be not apt to beat
over matters, and to call up one thing to prove and illustrate another, let
him study the lawyers' cases. So every defect of the mind may have a
special receipt.

讀書足以怡情，足以傅彩，足以長才。其怡情也，最見於獨處幽居之時；其傅彩也，最
見於高談闊論之中；其長才也，最見於處世判事之際。

練達之士雖能分別處理細事或一一判別枝節，然縱觀統籌，全局策劃，則舍好學深思者
莫屬。讀書費時過多易惰，文采藻飾太盛則矯，全憑條文斷事乃學究故態。

讀書補天然之不足，經驗又補讀書之不足，蓋天生才幹猶如自然花草，讀書然後知如何
修剪移接，而書中所示，如不以經驗范之，則又大而無當。

有一技之長者鄙讀書，無知者羨讀書，唯明智之士用讀書，然書並不以用處告人，用書
之智不在書中，而在書外，全憑觀察得之。

讀書時不可存心詰難讀者，不可盡信書上所言，亦不可只為尋章摘句，而應推敲細思。

書有可淺嘗者，有可吞食者，少數則須咀嚼消化。換言之，有隻需讀其部分者，有隻須
大體涉獵者，少數則須全讀，讀時須全神貫注，孜孜不倦。書亦可請人代讀，取其所作
摘要，但只限題材較次或價值不高者，否則書經提煉猶如水經蒸餾，淡而無味。

讀書使人充實，討論使人機智，筆記使人准確。因此不常做筆記者須記憶力特強，不常
討論者須天生聰穎，不常讀書者須欺世有術，始能無知而顯有知。

讀史使人明智，讀詩使人靈秀，數學使人周密，科學使人深刻，倫理學使人莊重，邏輯
修辭之學使人善辯；凡有所學，皆成性格。

人之才智但有滯礙，無不可讀適當之書使之順暢，一如身體百病，皆可借相宜之運動除
之。滾球利睾腎，射箭利胸肺，慢步利腸胃，騎術利頭腦，諸如此類。如智力不集中，
可令讀數學，蓋演題需全神貫注，稍有分散即須重演；如不能辯異，可令讀經院哲學，
蓋是輩皆吹毛求疵之人；如不善求同，不善以一物闡證另一物，可令讀律師之案卷。如
此頭腦中凡有缺陷，皆有特效可醫。
