一、當下初中學生英語口語交際能力存在的問題
1.對英語的認識不足。現階段,全球化發展趨勢不斷加深,英語更是起著非常重要的作用,但是,許多學生對英語產生了偏見。比如有民族主義傾向的學生認為:「英語不是國語,所以不學。」而學生中的保守主義者則認為:「在中國用不到英語,也懶得學。」但是,英語文化與我國文化的碰撞是發展的必然,作為國際溝通語言,英語的重要性更是不言而喻,學習英語不僅僅是為了增加知識,更是為了適應現代社會的文化發展趨勢。學生對於英語認識的不足,是當前初中生英語口語交際能力難以提高的首要原因。
2.學生心理作怪。首先,許多中學生都羞於用英語溝通,這種羞澀心理往往也是造成他們英語口語交際能力無法提升的原因之一,這種心理障礙存在於許多中學生的學習過程中。英語作為一門嶄新的學科,發音與漢語大不相同,這就致使中學生產生了羞於出口的心理,擔心自己發音不對從而招來周遭同學的嘲笑,故而只能沉默。此外,還有諸如以上的「排外心理」、「應付心理」,更是導致了當前英語口語水平難以提高。許多初中學生存在為了考試而應付的心態,認為對今後在社會上立足沒有用處。
3.學生水平和教師水平參差不齊。一方面,由於許多初中學生英語基礎薄弱、起步較晚,學生的英語水平存在差異、基礎不扎實等自身問題,英語學習成績呈現出下滑趨勢,甚至讓中學生對英語感到沮喪。另一方面,部分地方師資力量的不足也導致了中學生英語水平難以提高。比如英語教師地方口音嚴重,造成學生學習英語的困難,也會造成一定程度的誤差。
4.英語課程的狹窄。英語的主項作用越來越突出,英語作為一門主科,但是許多學校僅僅在課堂中鍛煉英語的口語交際能力,在課堂以外,學生便不會主動利用英語進行溝通,這也是造成英語口語難以突破瓶頸的主要原因之一。另外,中國有句古話說得好:「學而實習之,溫故而知新。」學校對於學生「復習」這方面也有較多的不足之處。
二、針對初中生英語口語交際能力不足的解決方案
1.推動學生對英語的認識全面性。學校應該加大對英語的宣傳力度,普及英語知識的重要性,讓中學生明白英語作為主流語言在世界文化交流中起著重要的橋梁作用。對於英語的學習也絕對不是為了升學,而是為了適應現代文化交流而採取的必要手段。另一方面,要消除學生「民族主義」、「保守主義」等不良心理現象。
2.消除學生學習英語的心理障礙。首先,老師應該引導學生走出心理陰霾,給予學生必要的肯定和鼓勵,鼓勵學生大膽說口語,不必擔心發音不準的問題,不必擔心出現錯誤,出現錯誤要勇於改正,能開口就向成功邁進了一大步。可先從較簡單的對話開始慢慢說英語。對於那些認為英語一無是處的孩子,要開拓他們的視野,讓他們認識到英語的重要性,並不只是為了出國或者升學,而是非學不可。
3.改善發音不準以及起步晚等問題。面對眾多孩子共同的難處,首先應該多下載一些網路教學視頻或者音頻等基礎的教學基礎題材,多加練習;其次,要抓住重點進行學習,著重從聽、說、讀、寫等各種方面,依照層次,循序漸進,來彌補英語中的不足。此外,面對師資力量參差不齊的問題,一方面,學校應該廣招人才,用有用之才,來彌補師資力量的不足之處;另一方面,可通過培訓、進修等方式提高教師的專業知識素養,提高教學質量。
