考試內容是現場抽題，朗讀一篇短文，按照要求大聲朗讀紙上的音標、單詞和短文或者故事，此項主要考查考生的與語音、語調、重讀、連續、意群、停頓等，不會出現很生僻的詞彙。

口語考試過程中要注意的地方：

朗讀部分：特別注意朗讀的完整性和流暢性。

情景對話：一定要抓准關鍵點、要點要完整、回答要流暢、准確。

特別提醒：聽到「現在開始錄音」時，一定要等到下面的錄音線走動1-2秒後再開始錄音，一定要在錄音前再一次思考自己的錄音內容的准確性等，再考慮一次，再錄音。(錄音時間很充分，一定要准備充分後再開口錄音。)。

8、所有考生考前、考中要恰正調整自己的心理，應該以正常的心態參加考試。

9、考試時一定要帶准考證參加考試。

10、准時到考點報到。遲到超過報到時間10分鍾就不得入場，而且取消本年度英語聽力口語考試資格。

11、嚴禁攜帶通訊工具進入候考室、備考室、考場。

• 中考英語口語應試技巧中，關於口試的內容一般由朗讀短文、回答問題、情景對話和話題簡述部分組成。 朗讀短文要求學生能比較流利地朗讀一篇所學課文或難度略低於所學語言材料的內容。著重考查學生的語音、句子重音、連讀、不完全爆破、意群和停頓、升調和降調以及流暢程度。

• 在中考英語口語應試技巧中，要有一些應試對策，如每天用英語敘說身邊事，首先要重視《初中學生英語口語等級測試訓練材料》。熟讀並背誦該材料所提供的 30 篇短文，多組簡單對話、20段情景對話和 20個話題。 因為在進行口語測試時，主考培訓師將在《初中學生英語口語等級測試訓練材料》所提供的短文中， 選取一篇作為朗讀測試材料，選取 5 組簡單對話作為回答問題，選取一個話題作為簡述題。重要的是要堅持使用英語，這樣才能提高使用英語的能力。
