1. What am I gonna do? Im gonno miss this curfew.
怎麼辦!我會趕不上關門(時間的.)
美國口語常用 im gonna (=going to)及 I wanna (=want to)
的省略形;聽起來雖有親切感,但應避免在正式的場合中使用.
Curfew 是指關門之意. 我趕不上(宿舍等的)關門時間是
im not gonna make (it for) the curfew.
2. Those people hanging out next door are so noisy.
經常聚集在隔壁的那些人吵鬧的很.
Hang out 是經常聚集, 等於hang around.
經常流連的場所(名詞) 拼為 hangout.
This coffee shop is our favorite hangout.
(這家咖啡屋是我們最喜歡聚會的地方).
3. Heaven is eating convenience store hotdogs in winter.
冬天吃便利商店的熱狗真棒
表示幸福,快樂,真棒等情況時也可以用漫畫里的snoopy史奴比
常說的 happiness is….. Nothing is better than eating….
以及 you cant beat eating….都是表示吃…….最棒之意.

呦!他們(電信局)又切斷我的電話了.
也可以說 they cut me off again.
Shoot (=shit) 是狗屎,胡說之意;
shit一詞最好少用,shoot尚可.
Service是指公共事業.
The postal service in this country is not so good.
是(這個國家的郵政事業不太好).
5. Who am I gonna bum some money from next?
我下一個該向誰借錢呢?
Bum是敲竹杠,乞討,含有有借無還的意思,
如: can I bum a cigarette from/off you?
(我可以向你要一支香煙嗎?).
也有 can I hit you up for 1,000 yuan till next month?
(我可不可以向你借1,000元,下個月還你?)的說法.
6. This rooms starting to smell like a compost heap.
這個房間開始有些(垃圾)臭味了.
Compost heap 是肥堆,用作惡臭之意.
垃圾一般稱為 trash(英國人稱為rubbish),
廚房的菜屑碎肉之類的垃圾稱作(kitchen) garbage.
