Animals Need Protecting
Animals are natural resources that people have wasted all through our history. Animals have been killed for their fur and feathers, for food, for sport, and simply because they were in the way. Thousands of kinds of animals have disappeared from the earth forever. Hundreds more are on the danger list today. About 170 kinds in the United States aloneare considered in danger.
Why should people care? Because we need animals, and because once they are gone, there will never be any more.Animals are more than just beautiful or interesting. They are more than just a source of food. Every animal has its place in the balance of nature. Destroying one kind of animal can create many problems. For example, when farmers killed large numbers of hawks, the farmers' stores of corn and grain were destroyed by rats and mice. Why? Because hawks eat rats and mice, with no hawks to keep down their numbers, the rats and mice multiplied quickly.
Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or planton the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.中文:

小學六年級的孩子要面臨即將到來的小升初考試，在這個考試中孩子還要考英語口語。受傳統應試教育的荼毒，不少孩子的英語都是啞巴英語，會寫不會說。該怎麼解決這個窘況呢?不少孩子都想到了在線學英語。
小學六年級英語網上口語練習，只是找外教練習就夠了嗎?那也不一定，很多時候孩子找外教一對一培訓口語，但是效果不明顯。面對這樣的情況，我們又該怎麼辦呢?
一、累積詞彙量
巧婦難為無米之炊。單詞是英語口語的重中之重。孩子要想把英語說的清晰明了，就需要具備一定的詞彙量。詞彙量多了，孩子才能脫離模板式英語，用多種表達方式來表達自己的意願。而要增加孩子的詞彙量，除了多聽多說，孩子還需要大量的閱讀來建立自己的詞彙庫。另外，累積詞彙量不能是死記硬背，要讓孩子把單詞記牢，還是需要英語環境和外國友人溝通，潛移默化地記住單詞。
二、強化邏輯能力
英文邏輯和中文邏輯本就不同，再加上孩子天馬行空的說話方式，亂七八糟的語句順序讓人搞不懂意思。而建立英文邏輯方面，還是歐美外教比較拿手。菲律賓等國家的外教雖然能力強，但是語言使用遵循了一定的模板，稍稍僵化。教小學生英語口語，還是需要語言表達能力靈便一點的歐美外教。
三、增加表達機會
有些孩子私底下開口說英語可厲害了，但是一到公眾場合就倒了。這是因為孩子內心的怯懦，怕被同齡人笑話。主要還是孩子信心不夠。這和中國“棍棒底下出孝子”的理念有些關系，很多教師對這一點深以為然，覺得孩子被罵多了才知道改。哪怕孩子進步了，家長也是給一句“天外有天人外有人，別以為自己有多好”，挫傷了孩子的自信心。
而西方國家的理念則是強調個人的心理、鼓勵教學。這也是為什麼孩子推崇外教的原因。不過找外教培訓口語，孩子也要擦亮眼睛。不要找菲律賓外教，不要覺得小時候學英語口語長大後能改過來。無論是哪個階段的學習，都會對以後產生影響，哪怕以後能把英語發音糾正，還是會有潛在的影響。
