The Old Cat
An old woman had a cat. The cat was very old; she could not run quickly, and she could not bite, because she was so old. One day the old cat saw a mouse; she jumped and caught the mouse. But she could not bite it; so the mouse got out of her mouth and ran away, because the cat could not bite it.
Then the old woman became very angry because the cat had not killed the mouse. She began to hit the cat. The cat said, "Do not hit your old servant. I have worked for you for many years, and I would work for you still, but I am too old. Do not be unkind to the old, but remember what good work the old did when they were young."
2.A man was going to the house of some rich person. As he went along the road, he saw a box of good apples at the side of the road. He said, "I do not want to eat those apples; for the rich man will give me much food; he will give me very nice food to eat." Then he took the apples and threw them away into the st.
He went on and came to a river. The river had become very big; so he could not go over it. He waited for some time; then he said, "I cannot go to the rich man's house today, for I cannot get over the river."
He began to go home. He had eaten no food that day. He began to want food. He came to the apples, and he was glad to take them out of the st and eat them.
Do not throw good things away; you may be glad to have them at some other time. 3.The City Mouse and the Country Mouse
Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mouse lived in the country; the other mouse lived in the city. After many years the Country mouse saw the City mouse; he said, "Do come and see me at my house in the country." So the City mouse went. The City mouse said, "This food is not good, and your house is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. You would have nice food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city."
The Country mouse went to the house of the City mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was set ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they heard a great noise. The City mouse cried, " Run! Run! The cat is coming!" They ran away quickly and hid.
After some time they came out. When they came out, the Country mouse said, "I do not like living in the city. I like living in my hole in the field. For it is nicer to be poor and happy, than to be rich and afraid."
綠野仙蹤4.The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 musical fantasy film proced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It stars Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger, Jack Haley, Bert Lahr, Billie Burke and Margaret Hamilton. The film continues to generate a cult following, despite its age and original creative intent as a musical cinematic fable for children.
The film is based on L. Frank Baum's turn-of-the-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, in which a resourceful American girl is snatched up by a Kansas tornado and deposited in a fantastic land of good and wicked witches, a talking scarecrow, a cowardly lion, a tin man, and more. The book was published in 1900. Over the years it has sold millions of copies. Baum wrote thirteen more Oz books before his death in 1919.
5.難忘米蘭達
It』s Cathy Wilson』s First job .she is going to live with the Harvey family .and look after the two young children and the house .Cathy』s parents are dead ,and she has no brothers or sisters .she wants to be happy in her new home ,but she is sometimes lonely ,Duncan the children』s father ,is often away in london .cathy likes the children and she likes old Mrs Harvey .Duncan 『s mother ,but she has no firend .
Of course, there is Nick .Nick has very blue eyes and a warm ,firendly smile .but Duncan doesn』t like Nick .Why?Becuse Miranda -------Duncan』s wife likes Nick .Many days ago .on one day night. Miranda tell Duncan .She likes Nick .she want to find him .and fall .and the biggest question was this :did .Miranda fall or someone push her many days ago Cathy know ,It Mrs Harvey Pust Miranda and she know Nick .in the end Cathy Wilson and Duncan Harvey loved each other .
Read this story I know .do man must like the Duncan and doesn』t like the Nick.becuse none but this just have the in deed blessedness.

書蟲系列之《紅酋長的贖金》
讀後感（英文版）：
Reading "Red chiefs of the ransom was" Feelings
This passage narrates about how two poor particulars, sam and bill, who kidnapped the son of the town's wealthiest man, however they met an extremely naughty children, thus leading to their endless nightmares.
The entire story's plot was vivid and expressive, Johnny, who was kidnapped, had ran away from the clutches of the two kidnappers through his intelligence and ability. Benezer Dorset, who stayed calm even after the child was kidnapped, was also worthy of our admiration.
We definitely do not know how to react to the closing paragraph, whether to laugh or cry? The two kidnappers in the passage, apart from not earning any ransom, need to pay 250 US dollars instead, this could possibly because that the evil will eventually gets their retribution. At the same time also reflects how incompetent they were, as compared to BENEZER DORSET's intelligence, which make a clear contrast between them.
讀後感（中文版）：
讀《紅酋長的贖金》有感
文章講述了兩個窮困潦倒的人sam和bill綁架小鎮首富的兒子，不料卻遇到一個特別調皮的孩子，自此開始了無盡的噩夢的故事。
整個故事情節生動，被綁架的Johnny最終以他的聰明才智脫離了罪犯的魔爪。BENEZER DORSET 也能在孩子被綁架後不慌不亂也是值得我們欽佩的。
文章的結尾讓人哭笑不得，文中的兩個綁架犯，不但沒賺而且還倒貼了250美金，也許這就是惡有惡報。同時也反映了當時那2人的無能，以及EBENEZER DORSET的精明，使得他們形成了鮮明的對比。

所以建議多聽英語歌 先不看歌詞
有精力的話 還可以速記
如果要考試什麼的話 還是建議做做題
要是單純想提高 就一定要多說 多練
