《威尼斯商人》是英國偉大的戲劇家莎士比亞寫的四大喜劇之一。故事大概是這樣的：在威尼斯生活著很多不同經歷，不同品格的商人。故事的主人公就是一個成功的商人,他的名字叫：安東尼奧。他聰明、勤奮、慷慨大方，博得了大家的信任。所以事業發展很快。最近又一批買賣即將成功，這使他萬分高興。這時，安東尼奧的朋友巴薩尼奧，正匆匆走來，原來他深深的愛上了鮑西婭公主,想去求婚。但他覺得只有自己穿上最好的衣服才能和公主相配，但他現在很貧困，因此只好向安東尼奧借錢。安東尼奧答應了朋友的請求。但他全部的財產都在貨船上，但貨船還沒有到岸。那麼只有向夏洛克借錢了。夏洛克是一個心胸狹窄、貪圖小便宜的人，他一直很嫉妒安東尼奧的才華。當他得知安東尼奧要向自己借錢，心中暗暗高興。於是，在條約里寫到：「如不按時還錢，就要從你的身上割下一磅肉。」安東尼奧冒著生命危險答應了。巴薩尼奧和鮑西婭結婚了。但是，一個壞消息傳入了他們的耳中。安東尼奧的船隊沉沒了，夏洛克逼他馬上還錢。但安東尼奧現在一貧如洗。夏洛克把他告上了法庭，准備按條約上說的去做。在法庭上法官說:「你只能從他身上割下一磅肉，不允許有一滴血，要不然你就是違約。」可夏洛克根本做不到。最後法官判夏洛克敗訴，並把他財產的一半分給安東尼奧，另一半歸國家。事後，安東尼奧才得知那個聰明的法官就是鮑西婭裝扮的.為了救朋友她想出了這個妙計。不久大家得知了一個好消息：安東尼奧的船隊並沒有沉沒，現在已經抵達港口了。我被莎士比亞小說里的每一個情節所感動，也從中感悟到了很多人世間的道理。從安東尼奧、巴薩尼奧、鮑西婭的身上，我看到了他們都有對朋友真誠、友好的一顆心.為了朋友的幸福，安東尼奧冒著生命危險滿足了朋友的需要，為了讓朋友得到幸福，寧可犧牲自己。鮑西婭既聰明又善良，她用自己的智慧，換回了朋友的生命。但是一提到夏洛克，我的心頭就充滿了厭惡：他心胸狹窄、貪婪、兇狠，世界上難道還有這么狠毒的人嗎？我覺得讀書可以讓我懂得好多人世間的道理，分清善惡，指引我的未來——做一個善良聰明，有愛心的人。
暑假在家閑來無事，就把以前買的書整理一下，發現有好多書自己竟然沒有好好的讀完，都是聽老師說要看什麼書自己去買來了，結果隨便翻幾頁就扔在那裡。心裡實在有點過意不去，就決定在這個假期里好好彌補一下。《蘇菲的世界》是一本哲學啟蒙書，她用深入淺出的文字想我們每個讀者展示了哲學從古到今的發展歷程。從蘇菲在信箱中取出的一封寫著：「你是誰？」的信開始，在艾伯特的指點下，蘇菲從哲學的搖籃雅典出發，對蘇格拉底和柏拉圖的哲學有了初步了解。她對文藝復興時期的認識包括達芬奇的繪畫、莎士比亞的戲劇、古登堡的印刷機……涉及藝術、科學、建築、數學等許多方面。至於近現代，艾伯特的「哲學函授課」包含了康德、黑格爾、弗洛伊德乃至於馬克思的哲學思想。看這樣一部作品，讓我看到了全人類的文明。在蘇菲的所到之處，到處都凝結著文明的精華。看過之後，我已經不僅僅是學到了一些東西，更重要的是心靈的震撼。「我思故我在」 可讀完全書的我卻很茫然，我存在嗎？不過是在這個時段、在這個特定的空間的相對存在罷了。試問，多年以後，一切都歸於湮滅之中，我會存在？渺小的我會存在過，或曾經存在過？真不敢相信「恐懼」竟是我讀完書後的第一感覺。我不知道他人讀此書的過程中是否會有這荒謬的感覺。這是我真實而自覺荒謬的心靈體驗。訖今為止，《蘇菲的世界》是讓我感覺最奇特的書，真的，在以往沒有任何一本書會這樣讓我沉迷其間而深感「恐懼」，讀後對這「恐懼」深感荒謬。要解決這種恐懼這中荒謬就只有通過自己的思考，通過思考來更加清楚的認識這個世界，這大概也是作者的最終目的吧我原本以為哲學是一門不切實際的學問，但當我讀完全書後才發現哲學其實是最貼近現實生活的，哲學是「關於天底下每個人都關心的一些問題的學科」。哲學所要解決的都是還沒有科學方法可以證明的問題——諸如善與惡、美與丑、生與死、秩序與自由等。我認為哲學不是科學，因為它沒有什麼精確的公式來計算、來衡量。哲學是對未知事物或不確切認識的事物的假設性解釋，是追求真理的開路先鋒。在我們的這個世界，僅有科學而無哲學，僅有事實而無洞察力和價值觀，是不能使我們免於浩劫和絕望的。科學給予我們知識，然而只有哲學才給予我們智慧。心裏面想的還有很多，但不知道怎麼來更加明白的表達，也許只有我們自己親身讀了此書後才能和我一樣感受到《蘇菲的世界》帶給我們的震撼！
