在北京炎復熱的晌午里，劉制偉沒睡多久就起床了。母親從廚房裡端出午飯，劉偉用右腳夾住勺子，將韭菜炒蛋和著米飯往嘴裡送。
吃過飯後，他開始彈奏《夢中的婚禮》，用腳。用腳彈鋼琴與用手類似，許多時候腕部需要懸空。一般人用手彈鋼琴，能將手指撐開到8度，劉偉的腳趾經過訓練能張到5度，需要更多的移動來彌補不足的跨度。
他的房間里貼著周傑倫的大幅海報。「我的理想是做一流的音樂製作人」，劉偉說。
最初的夢想
劉偉出生於1987年，上小學的時候，正是中國足球職業化的肇始，成為職業球員是他的理想。
然而，一切想像在10歲的一天戛然而止。他已無法完整地回憶那天到底發生了什麼。
「怎麼觸電的?其實我自己是記不起來了，我的這部分記憶已經丟失。」
醒過來的時候，他已經躺在了醫院的病床上。剛開始，他不認為這是一件多嚴重的事情，「不就是截肢嗎，好了再接上不就行了？」脫離生命危險之後，劉偉被告知，他永遠失去了雙臂，「當時我的腦袋一片空白，傻了」。
在醫院做康復的那段時間，他遇到了一位同樣失去雙手的病人。「他能自己吃飯、刷牙、寫字，而且事業上也非常成功，他教了我很多」。
