當今社會的競爭如此的激烈、殘酷，我們每個人都在為自己的一個位子而苦苦打拚。在這個打拚的過程中，有的人上升，有的人卻下降，直至最後潦倒。當每個人都懷揣希望站在事業的起跑線上時，我相信，我們的憧憬都是一樣的，我們對未來的期許也是一樣的。但是，為什麼在跑步的過程中，我們的結局卻不一樣呢？由於費拉爾·凱普譜寫的《沒有任何借口》對此作出了最好的詮釋：成功和失敗看起來似乎天壤之別，但促成它們形成的原因，也許就是一些小小的細節，小小的習慣，比如：常常為自己沒有完成的事情而尋找借口。「要成功，就不要給自己尋找任何借口」這是這本書給我們最大的啟迪。
「沒有任何借口」是美國西點軍校200年來奉行的最重要的行為准則。它強化的是每一位學員想盡辦法去完成任何一項任務，而不是為沒有完成任務去尋找借口，哪怕是看似合理的借口，他體現的是一種完美的執行能力，一種服從誠實的態度，一種負責敬業的精神，其核心是敬業、責任、服從、誠實。
很多時候我們常常抱怨外在的一些條件，甚至於自己的智商。其實當你在抱怨的時候，實際上你就是在為自己找借口了，而找借口的惟一好處就是安慰自己。但這種安慰是致命的，它讓你對現存的狀況無動於衷，並且給你一種心理暗示：我克服不了客觀條件造成的困難。在這種心理的暗示引導下，你不在去思考克服困難，完成任務的方法，哪怕是只要改變一下角度就可以輕易的達到目的。

是呵，工作就是不找任何借口地去執行！但這並不代表我們只是執行任務的機器。我們是鮮活的、富有思想的、情感豐富的人。我們工作時，並不是像機器那樣按照指定程序進行流水性進展，而是在接受指令後，明確工作的重要性及目標與完成時間，考慮應該採取何種方式作為完成工作的方法然後，按照既定的步驟進行處理。這個過程中，首先需要解決的是執行人員的思維方法問題。如果我們在企業中（這不是軍隊）一味強調執行而不注重對執行人員的心理分析，有可能讓執行結果變得非馬非象。
思維方法，其實就是思維慣性與工作習慣。當我們將所有對事態發展有影響的思維及工作方法持久地加以重復時，習慣也就悄然形成了。工作時，我們的大腦總是按照慣性搜索最近使用與最常使用的信息，並引起外顯的條件反射。借口，有著潤物細無聲的滲透力與溫水煮青蛙的韌性，也有著銅牆鐵壁似的頑固性，正是因循了人類思維的這種特性，肆無忌憚，以致於讓許多人都成了它的階下囚。
可能有許多人會說他並不希望如此，但不知道怎樣才能克服借口的漫延。就此，我們試著結合借口的各項屬性來談談解決的辦法：
第一、借口總是在拖延時間、推卸責任
對一件事情，你完全有把握將它完成得很出色，但是由於惰性，你不停地對自己說「再等一會兒」、「等一等」，時間就在你等的過程中慢慢溜走，當你發現時，卻又對自己懊惱不已。對此，我們應該首先樹立起正確的人生觀與價值觀，把握清楚自己的奮斗方向並制定一個相對中短期的目標，並為之而努力奮斗，這有利於你在找借口的同時與目標加以權衡，並馬上行動以驅趕借口。
第二、不要讓推卸責任成為習慣
也許你會否定這種看法：推卸責任可以和習慣聯系在一塊嗎？有這么嚴重嗎？是的，正是這種經常性的習慣在影響你的潛意識，你的潛意識進一步地影響著你的習慣行為。所以，我們應該加強自己的責任感與主動性，並讓主動性與責任感帶著我們駛向更為寬廣的領域，盡情舒展與充實自己。
第三、讓認真工作成為你的習慣
首先，讓工作成為你的愛好，這樣，因為有愛，所以你會想方法對所愛之物做出貢獻。其次，工作給予了我們生活的保障、心智的發展與自我的完善，也給予了我們對未來的憧憬、奮斗的激情與靈感的原動力。所以，我們有必要將它視為珍愛之物，並將它恪守成習慣。
第四、讓行動與全力以赴見證我們的優良習慣

個人認為，英語的學習歸根到底就在於2個詞：一是堅持，二是興趣。
怎麼樣堅持？就是要一天學一點，一天進步一點，緊緊咬住，不要荒廢。而在學英語的各個環節中，無論聽說讀寫，如果單詞量不足的話，就會感覺寸步難行，因此背單詞是一個繞不過去的中心環節。最好就是給自己規定個短期目標，一天要記多少個單詞，完成為止。也許學其他的科目可能還有捷徑可以走，但要學好英語真的沒有捷徑。有不少朋友問我，怎麼樣才能快速學好英語？我都只能搖頭，沒有辦法，只能堅持：讀，聽，看，背，除此之外別無他法。不過，相比於其它科目，學英語也有一個優勢，就是不需要整塊的時間，我們可以在排隊等候的時候、在其它零碎的閑暇時間裡面，記上幾個英語單詞或知識點，既利用了時間，又填補了空閑，也不失為一舉兩得。
但背單詞畢竟是枯燥的，這就需要一種激發自己興趣的辦法。俗話說興趣是最好的老師。這種興趣不單單從考試的角度出發，而是通過對英語的熟練和語感越來越好，逐漸體會到它音韻和形式的美，從而產生更好地掌握英語的願望，對英語的興趣自然會水漲船高的。比如，可以玩玩英語游戲，看看英語MTV或英語原聲電影，參加英語沙龍，或者到英文網站閱讀英文新聞等。由於英語統考的時候不需要考聽和說，我們從事醫療工作的，平時一般也缺乏聽說英語的機會，因此我是以閱讀為主來提高自己的英語興趣和水平的。可以閱讀的英文學習資料非常多，主要是要根據自己的水平選擇適合的材料，以讀起來有點吃力，但不影響對整篇的理解為適宜的難度。在有不懂的生詞存在時仍然能夠領會文章的意思，這是我們必須訓練出來的能力。當你發現英語也成為你通向豐富知識的路徑時，你自然而然就會體驗到駕馭這門語言的樂趣。
在英語統考的時候，第一卷是選擇題，其中語法和情景對話的單選題考的是知識點，我認為對於這部分關鍵是要快，即快速做出判斷，不必鑽牛角尖。閱讀理解是得分大戶，考的是整體的理解，我覺得在閱讀理解上多花一點時間來斟酌相對比較值得。第二卷是翻譯和作文，雖然只有30分，但如果拿不到18分以上，即使全卷過60分也要被判為不合格。做漢譯英的題最害怕的是被個別詞卡住了，這個時候，就要避免在一個詞上空耗時間，而是盡快找個意義近似的詞或片語來代替。另外就是作文的問題。短時間內提高英語作文能力，最有效的辦法就是背熟若干篇範文，然後在考試時用題材相似的範文的格式和句型去套。但我認為平時多練習英語寫作還是很重要的，最好每個星期寫一兩篇，除了訓練作文這一塊外，對提高漢譯英的能力，對英文語感和興趣的培養也大有裨益。
以上是我個人學習英語的一點心得體會。大家在學習上都是久經考驗的好手，每人都有自己的獨門功夫。但願我的方法能夠再帶給大家一點幫助。

Nothing to worry about
The rough road across the plain soon became so bad that we tired to get Bruce to ddrive back to the village we had come from. Even thought the road was littered with boulders and pitted with holes, Bruce ws not in the least perturbed. Glancing at his map, he informed us that the next village was a mere twenty miles away. It was not that Bruce always underestimated difficulties. He simply had no sense of danger at all. No matter the conditions were, he believed that a car should be driven as fast as it could possibly go.
As we bumped over the sty track, we swerved to avoid large boulders. The wheels scooped up stones which hammered ominously under the car. We felt sure that sooner or later a stone would rip a hole in our petrol tank or damage the engine. Because of this, we kept looking back, wondering if we were leaving a trail of oil and petrol behind us.
What a relief it was when the boulders suddenly disappeared, giving way to a stretch of plain where the only obstacles were clomps of bushes. But there was worse to come. Just ahead of us there was a huge fissure. In response to renewed pleadings, Bruce stopped. Though we all got out to examine he fissure, he remained in the car. We informed him that the fissure extended for fifty yards and was two feet wide and four feet deep. Even this had no effect. Bruce went into a low gear and drove at a terrifying speed, keeping the front wheels astride the crack as he followed its zigzag course. Before we had time to worry about what might happen, we were back on the plain again. Bruce consulted the map once more and told us that the village was now only fifteen miles away. Our next obstacle was a shallow pool of water about half a mile across. Bruce charged at it, but in the middle, the car cae to a grinding halt. A yellow light on the dashboard flashed angrily and Bruce cheerfully announced that there was no oil in the engine!
