要想提高英語閱讀理解，建議採用以下三種方法：
1、抓主題，正確分析文章的中心思想
要抓住文章的中心思想，就要找它的主題句，一般文章的主題句，在第一段的第一句，有時也有可能在第二段或最後一段，所以閱讀時要特別注意文章的開頭和結尾，但也有可能主題句不明顯，難找，這時就應注意句子間的邏輯關系。如果文章所表達的意思是對某個句子進行說明，描寫或解釋，那麼該句肯定是主題句，從而明確文章的中心思想。
2、使用不同的閱讀方式找尋信息
在閱讀考題中，常有關於主要事實與細節的題目可採取尋讀法，找尋有關信息，迅速判斷所查內容的大概位置，認真讀所要的信息。對於與題目無關的內容，可採用略讀法，以減少閱讀時間，提高閱讀效率。

（3）綜合讀書筆記
