3.過去進行時除了表示過去那個瞬間正在發生的動作外，還可以表示過去那段時間一直進行的動作，這句話應該是屬於後者。

D. 看英語文章的語法問題，有個不理解，句子肯定沒問題，是外國書上看的。
它的用法是對的。her husband一直都是這整句話的主語。「who was a musician」是補充短語，可以不用，你去專掉這句話，屬在看「Her husband had died，and left her very poor indeed.」在and之前有個逗號，是意在強調一個並聯關系。表示在前面表示她音樂家的丈夫去世之後，「她丈夫的死」讓她窮困潦倒，而不是她的丈夫讓她窮困潦倒。
