首先你找來一本最基本的語法書（這本語法書應該很薄），通讀一二遍，掌握語法內的大致架構，容了解語法的語類、時態、語態、句子結構等，即對語法有一個整體的認識。然後，你就可以開始進行英語學習了。在你學習英語的過程中，如果發現自己缺少某一部分的語法知識，你停下來，打開語法書查找相對應部分的規則並加以掌握，結合例句來學習所遇到的實際語法現象。這樣你很快就能夠在學習英語的過程中學好語法，而這樣學到的語法才是你真正能夠運用的「活」語法。
我不贊同中國學生在學習英語時，單純去學習語法，並把語法當成英語學習的惟一任務和目的，那種學習是完全沒有必要的，也是沒有意義的。
學習語法必須做大量的語法練習。其中包括筆頭和口頭的練習。只有做大量練習，才能真正把語法學「活」，即用語法來指導英語語言的使用。

(1) 一般在形容詞或副詞後+er
