只要覺得來學習得差不多了，估計考自試能過了，就可以考。
大學英語四六級考試，是國家教育部制定的，英語級別考試，普通高等院校本科生在校期間參加，畢業離校以後不可以參加，即任何社會人士不能參加的考試。
其次，本科畢業生，要通過四級考試才能拿到學位證，各個學校有所不同，有的是跟四級統一分數線一樣，有的是學校自己設定的。四級統一通過分數線是425，有的學校會把拿學位證需要通過的分數設置的畢這個低一些。
第三，六級考試必須在通過四級考試以後才能參加。通過分數線也是425，本科期間考不過，研究生的時候還可以考，但是如果不讀研的話，畢業以後就不能再參加級考試了。
第四，考試內容和順序：1快速閱讀
好像是15分鍾，然後收上去，再發寫作，然後寫作收上去，再發聽力和閱讀，還有5個翻譯。

因中專來學歷不符合四級報名自條件要求，因此不可以報考。
大學英語四級考試報名條件：
(1)考試對象限制在普通高校內部四年制或以上根據教育大綱修完大學英語四級的在校大學本科生或研究生；
(2) 同等程度的大專生或碩士研究生經所在學校同意，可在本校報名參加考試；
(3) 同等程度的夜大或函授大學學生經所在學校同意，可在本校報名參加考試；
從2007年1月的考試開始，大學英語四六級考試將不再對社會考生開放，只對在校大學生開放。
