社會人士不可以參加英語四六級考試。准確點說，目前情況是，非在校大學生是沒有資格參加大學英語四六級考試的（簡稱CET）。

在校學生可以報考英語四六級

社會人員考報四六級是不可以的，在為這是專門為學生們准備的考試方式，具體有：

1、在校的本科生；

2、具有同等文化程度的大專生或碩士研究生經得學校同意後也可在本學校進行報名參加考試；

3、具有同等程度的讀業余大學，比如夜大或函授生也可在學校的同意在學校進行報名考試。而且四六級考試只能是在自己所在的學校報名考試，不能跨校考的。
