On the one hand, the elderly should be respected by all though the society. We should always bear in mind that what we have and enjoy now was created by the aged peeple in the early days, as the old Chinese saying goes, 「One generation plants tress under whose shade another generation rests」. Those people who consider the elderly useless can』t deny that they are hound to become old some day, therefore, any kind of maltreatment of old people should be prohibited.
On the other hand, all of us should take good care of the young, too. It is children who make us see the future of our state, for they are the future builders of oar country. Therefore, we should take care of them and protect them from being hurt. But it doesn』t mean that we can spoil them. Spoilt children are well seen nowadays. They depend on their parents so much that they can do nothing without them. How can we count on those children to make contributions to our society? We should take good care of the young so that they will be useful in the social construction later when they come of age.
It is a Chinese tradition to respect, love and support the elderly and to protect, ecate and take good care of the young. Let』s keep and develop that virtue together, because only in this way can we feel as if we were living in a big and happy family, then our society will develop harmoniously.

There are so many love stories in college. If the lovers met each other by note passed, the story was called 「note love」; if they knew each other in fast food restaurant, then 「fast food love」; if they became lovers in a picnic, then 「picnic love」. Liu Bing got to know Xiao Yu through QQ chat, and they got the so-called 「QQ love」.
Their love story started at the end of 2nd Grade. Liu failed again in CET4 test and felt very upset. So he entered an Internet cafe near the school to kill time. Still a long way to go
Chen Li has been unhappy recently. With the coming of graation, she』s become even more depressed. She and her boyfriend Jia Hao don』t have a special story; they got to know each other in the library. 作閱讀的方法（我聽了新東方老師的課 自己總結的）
一、大綱的要求，對主體細節推理以及態度題有所把握，對閱讀速度的要求：每分鍾70個單詞。
二、四級文章本身的特點：
1、結構：
1）文科文章常有的一些結構
A、現象解釋型（文章一開始給出一個現象然後對現象進行解釋，一般都會在第一段的末句是一個問句，段末是問號。就是要我們尋找回答，問題就是一個現象，我們就要尋找解釋，來做主題。）解釋即為文章的主題所在。常被考到的有：現象本身；解釋；作者對解釋的評價。理科文章解釋主題常有兩種方式：1）羅列式的2）用實驗來解釋主題
文中加引號的詞，表明該詞在原文中有特定的含義，表達並非最表面的意思
問題中出現了一開始就提到的現象時，答案通常針對文章主題。
B、問題解決方案型（文章一開始給出一個問題，對問題給出一個解決方案。典型的文章：2001年6月的第一篇文章。問題—problem 第一問題本身考一道題，第二造成問題的原因是，第三問題的解決方案是，第四作者對解決方案的態度，正評價還是副評價，肯定還是否定。思路比較固定，只要是解決方案一般都是不行的。）
C、結論解釋型（在文科文章的數量是最大的。文章一開始給出一結論，然後對結論進行解釋，數量極多。）
2）理科文章的結構
A、現象解釋型（結構與文科文章不一樣，理科文章首句出問號，常暗示指現象，有現象就要尋找解釋。）
B、問題解決方案型（成果型在理科文章里很多，2001-6）
C、實驗型文章（文科文章可以顛三倒四的把問題反復地說，理科文章一般比較客觀，要說明問題一般用實驗來說。）
2、體裁，以說明和議論為主。原因：四級和四級以上的文章具有的特徵——academic學術性的,學術性的文章用記敘文說不清楚，只能用說明和議論。說明文：作者沒有太多的觀點，只給出一些數據和事實，讓你自己去推理、綜合。
啟發：1、關注重點不同。對於說明文而言注意文中的定義、概念、重要數據和細節。對於議論文而言注意作者的結論和觀點。主要是看作者支持什麼反對什麼。
2、文章的重心。四級文章無論說明議論，四級文章的重心一般靠前。兩種模式：A、一根主線，一開始就擺出文章的主題。對一個方面進行具體論述。B、花開兩朵，各表一枝。文章一開始就出現兩個概念或者兩個方面，文章論述兩個方面一般答案里也包含兩個方面。
3、句子結構復雜
常見的難句類型：1、多重復合句，重點是以it為形式主語的復合句。要很開地看出重心，主要注意抓主幹和斷句。（主謂賓）
2）多重並列句，一般並列句可以用and來連接，另一種是肯定否定形式的並列句，比如：not……but , not only……but also, but 和but also 後面的才是作者強調的。
3）經典被動句
4）倒裝句 典型結構主要是主系表結構倒裝為表系主結構。方法：第一看系動詞，第二看第一個詞，如果第一個詞有形容詞性而又不修飾別的詞，就肯定是個表語。一般是為了強調表語，所以倒裝。This is of great importance. 倒裝為 ： Of great importance is …… of great 是形容詞變名詞。
5）雙重否定=肯定
6）比較結構 more……than 在more之後才是重點 , less……than 在than後面的是重點.
段首出現比較級一般都會出題的。
三、如何准備四級閱讀
1、練習閱讀方法，提高閱讀速度。傳統的三種方法：1）先看文章後作題。是用這種方法應注意三點：1、注意文章中心與作者基本觀點，即抓大的放小的。 2、注意重要細節的位置，第一遍閱讀時在了解主題之後知道某個東西在哪裡，勝過你知道他是什麼。3、閱讀速度稍快。不能過分沉迷於原文，速度要快一點。
2）先看問題再讀文章 要抓對重點 適用於文章：1、難度較大的文章2、只包含一兩段的流水賬文章。流水賬文章段落少層次感較差，可以先看題目看清問題，確定大概的位置。3、細節題較多的文章。 缺點：對主題把握不夠明確。
3）讀一層意思做一道題，讀文章做題交叉進行。本方法適用於：1、段落較多的文章2、閱讀速度較慢的同學。注意事項：1每次閱讀一小段或者一長段的一半2閱讀速度比第一種閱讀方法要稍慢一些，力求弄清本段意思3每次讀新的內容之前，最好把接下來要回答的問題要先看一下。每篇文章為9分鍾，讀原文要5分鍾，做題要4分鍾

——四級考試中一般有五個表示試驗結果的重要動詞：find, show, identify, observe, notice一般看到含有這幾個詞的句子要注意，通常看後面有沒有類似的詞出現在問題中；反之，看到問題中有這幾個詞的時候要到文章中找這幾個詞，這些都是近義詞。
實驗型文章實驗目的指向主題或目的不定式
第一段首末出現轉折常與主體掛鉤.
文章中沒有主題句時，綜合各段首句，其中共有的詞彙為本文的主題詞。

比較原則
一、比較結構
1、比較級，比較級的表現形式是+er或more。
2、最高級，最高級表現形式是+est 或 most。
3、詞彙首段，作為比較來考的詞彙有：——like,unlike,different from ,differ from
4、句型結構 ——as……as
二、絕對意義 ——first , least, none
三、唯一性 ——only solely unique
如何思考：1、將問題中或選項中的比較原則與原文類似語言現象相對應
2、文章中的比較原則一般都對應後文的問題，四級原文出現比較要敏銳的感覺道一般都會有一道題目的。特別是全文的段首句、段末句和文章中心解釋句。
3、選項中出現比較在原文找不到對應時，該選項直接錯誤。Only most less more
指代原則
一、做題步驟：
1、返回原文找到指代詞所在的位置
2、向上搜索名詞性的片語或句子
3、用四個選項替換該指代題
二、判斷原則——簡單地說是就近指代。就近指代是代詞指代在主格賓格、單復數、位置、意義等方面與之接近的名詞。
三、補充說明
——this that it such 既可以指代單數名詞，也可以指代他們之前的句子。
問段落唯一的例子的意思，答案指向段落主題句。問一個類比或例子不能照抄原文的。實在沒有辦法就看這個段落那個單詞出現的次數多，就可能是本段的主題詞。
如果在問題中遇到various change alter different 中的一個詞，在文中必有其中另一個詞。
如果四個選項中有兩個意思是相反的，那麼其中必有一個是正確的；如果有兩個意思都是一樣的，那麼這兩個選項一定都是錯誤的。
許多選項出現：文章里是客觀描述，結果到了選項里變成了主觀性的描述，這些選項是錯誤的——這是四級常用的陷阱。
選項中口氣太絕的也是錯誤的
出題的位置包括：
1、重要句，重要句包括：①各段首末句 ②文中結論解釋句
2、特殊語言現象，包括：比較、轉折、數字、因果和例子（尤其是很長的例子的時候他喜歡考）。
當文章的主題句、中心思想很難找的時候，可以看在文章的段首段尾句、關鍵的句子里出現多的單詞，一般是主題詞；另一種方法是看5個題目中的各個選項出現次數比較多的詞也可能是主題詞。
文章第一段出現問句，應該特別關注。
句子題的做題思路：①分析句子的結構，包含這個句子主幹的選項為正確答案②看上下句，確定同義或反義關系。
文章比較難的學習方法
1、先找主題 2、學會這一類文章的看法，這類文章的共同特點是：語言難度高，背景較為復雜的文章。出題的方向有：①先看題目②抓重要和特殊語言現象③段落的論述通常從兩個方面進行。
主題題型
一、1、有主題句時，與主題句相對應的為正確答案
——如何找主題句：主題句具有總結性，一般位於文中三個地方①全文首句（出現得最多）②一段末句，一段末句出現轉折或結論時常出現主題。③第二段的一、二句，二段對一段進行總結或否定時常出現主題。例如進行總結的文章；進行否定的文章；
2、文中沒有主題句時，各段首句相加，其中共有的詞彙為本文的主體詞，必須出現在主題題型的正確答案中。
主題詞的特徵有：①一般為名詞或名詞片語；②出現頻率較高；③一般位於段落首句。
二、根據語言提示尋找主題
1、根據文章結構確定主題，常見的結構有：①結論解釋型的文章，結論為主題所在。一般首句是個判斷句或者有態度時就常是結論，尤其是首句之後緊跟較長的例子或細節時。
②現象解釋型的文章，解釋為文章主題所在。——問句出現在一段首末句，問句等於現象。回答就是主題。
③問題解決方案型文章，解決方案為文章主題。2001年6月第一篇

2、顯性因果：①因果名詞（在問題中有因果，在原文中也有因果）：reason result basis ②因果動詞：base on ,be e to , result from , result in ③因果連詞或介詞：because, with, why , for, as ④因果副詞：therefore , thus ,as a result 在文章中看見因果詞就要想到後面會考到；在選項中看到因果詞，就要想到文中的因果現象。
如果文章中談一個現實問題，解決方案一般不夠完美，所以涉及解決方案的選項具有以下特徵才是正確的：①目前解決方案不行；②需要繼續尋找解決方案。2001-6-first
實驗型文章實驗目的指向主題或目的不定式，對於實驗性文章，實驗代表人物有了，再看實驗目的，然後是實驗結果，凡是與這三點無關的句子都要快讀。

文章的主題可以用兩個方式來表達：①直接闡述作者的觀點；②否定與作者相反、相對立的觀點。
推理題
1、問題中有線索時，根據線索找到原文相關句，與相關句意思一致的為正確答案。所以說不管題目中有imply include infer,只要問題中有一個線索，比如：人名、地名、關鍵詞，就拿著這些詞回原文找和原句一對應，就出來答案。
2、infer題，一般對應相應段落，否則對應文章主題。 此類題目一般題干光禿禿的沒有什麼線索，這時我們應該看該題的位置，如果是文章開始，那就對應文章開始；出在2、3、4那就一般和234對應，最多錯一個段落，否則就是對應文章主題；如果在最後的話，那優先對應文章最後。
3、推論（conclude）題：
①為第一題時，通常對應文章主題；②為2、3、4題時，基本上針對文章中間段落；③為最後一道題時，優先對應文章最後部分，有時也針對文章主題。
與主題有關的優先考慮。
總復習
1、利用兩周左右的時間復習學過的內容；包括：①總結所有錯誤題目的主要問題；②結合文章消化做題方法；③歸納難詞難句；
