英語四級考試ab卷區別在於AB卷的答題卡不同，就是選項在答題卡中的順序是不同的，四級是全國統考，所以各省份的三套試卷都一樣。

1、考生在報名時填寫《報名卡》以其他形式按報名點要求提供相關信息，按規定履行各項手續，隨後還要按當地考試機構指定的時間和地點領取《准考證》和《考試通知單》，否則依然無法參加考試。考生報名時要認真核驗《准考證》上的信息內容，有錯誤時應及時要求報名點更改。

因為英語四級採取多題多套卷形式，所以英語四級試卷分卷一卷二卷三。

從2012年12月起，很內多省市開始容採用「多卷多題」的形式進行四六級考試。公開發表聲明的省份包括：山東省、江蘇省、遼寧省、江西省、湖南省、湖北省、浙江省，河南省，成都和廣州市。此舉的目的在於希望使考試更加公平，更加合理。

就所測試的語言能力而言，試點階段的四級考試由以下四個部分構成：1）聽力理解；2）閱讀理解；3）完型填空或改錯；4）寫作和翻譯。

題型及分值：

聽力篇章3篇；題型：選擇題（單選）；聽力短文類一個14.2分，其他一個7.1分，共248.5，佔20%。另外，作文106.5分；翻譯106.5分；閱讀理解的選詞填空3.55分一個、長篇閱讀7.1分一個、仔細閱讀 14.2分一個，共248.5。

每年考試過後8月份或9月份公布成績並頒發成績單，根據教育部規定四六級考試不設置及格線，四級425分(含425分)以上可以報考六級，所以大家普遍認為四六級的合格線為425分。
