You could go farther and add some details about yourself, depending on who you are introcing yourself to. If you are at work, for instance, you might want to tell your job title or who your boss is. If the person you are introcing yourself to already knows someone that you know, you could say "I'm a friend of __________" or "You know my brother ________."
